Kindly answer this honestly, as fans of BOXING.
Whether or not it's in the context of a fight with Floyd Jr.,
do you want to see boxer Manny Pacquiao undergo so-called
"Olympic-style Drug Testing" (OSDT), and why?
"Olympic-style", because it's not really 365/12/4/24/7 random:
it would be just during the 60 days leading up to the fight, and
then immediately after.
Naturally, his opponent would undergo the same regimen, as
administered by the local WADA assign or analogue (in the U.S.,
this would be USADA).
------
Note 1:
(If Pacquiao's own personal attitude matters at all...)
Keep in mind that the only pronouncements on the issue that
we 100% surely know came out of Pacquiao's mouth (on video
AND unfiltered by Koncz's or Arum's coaching or editing; AND
unaffected by later insults and mudslinging from other parties)
had him reluctantly willing --but willing nonetheless-- to give
blood up to 2 days before the fight (per ABS-CBN news video
interview, December 29, 2009, at the Wapakman premiere, at
SM North Edsa). Also keep in mind however, that Pacquiao has
misgivings about losing ANY blood so close to a fight.
Note 2:
(If fiscal risk considerations matter at all...)
Keep in mind as well, that any invasive testing is going to be
highly unlikely in the 14 days prior to the fight, although the
testing agency may never admit to it for the sake of plausibly
maintaining a premise of fully 'random' testing.
