I'm not surprised by his comments. He seems like a nice, humble, low-key guy from el campo.

I think Khan caught the worst of it, particularly the last few rounds.

Maidana whooped that boys ass!!!!!! It's ****ty that Khan is trying to deny the beating, but that's what happens when you have a huge ego due to the press. Maidana made Khan look like an amateur when he got hurt, dude ran ran ran. And I remember seeing Khan do a 6 punch combo hitting nothing but air, that **** was funny. If you hurt Khan he panics.

Anyone who thinks it's Cortez's style should watch Calzaghe v Hopkins. Make no mistake Cortez is a bought off official.

The comment made by Maidana's team that he had to fight Khan and Cortez himself echoes the comments of Hatton following the Mayweather fight. That's how the fighter feels in there with Cortez refereeing and it ain't right in what is supposed to be a fair sporting contest.

I agree, altho hes a monster, and one of the most unfriendly fighters in the ring since duran, like roberto he seems like he can be the coolest person outside of it where it matters.

idk man Maidana took twice as many shots to the head, and Amir is by no means feather fisted. Amir to me probably became a better fighter after sat while, maidana will probably lose a step. I hope its not the case but history has proved that fights like this wear fighters.

nothing tops what cortez did to humbero soto. That was the most bs call iv seen to date. Idk why cortez is still a high profile ref, after all his **** ups.

No boxer should want Joe Cortez as there ref unless they're the ones paying him off. Worst ****ing ref of this era. I really can't believe a ref can be as piss poor as him without being paid off.

could've should've would've... he came to the fight with his eyes open. Khan's speed was the issue he must've addressed properly and knowing that the scorecard wasn't really showing blue skies in his favor, maidana's only way of winning was a KO at 10. but he didn't, of course Cortez wasn't much of a help either, more of a pain in boxing's ass!
