I like the article it was a good read. I also do some writing myself. One thing though you can tell you wrote it from your personal feelings towards mares and not as an informative boxing article.

I am a Mexican and I root for Mares 100%, but when it comes down to it Mares is far behind. Never the less, he is coming back strong and impressing as well as winning many fans. To all fairness, I do know a set of hand injuries which required surgery halted his career for a short period of time.

Now, let's compare Abner to Juanma,, Abner beat Juanma 3 times as an amateur, everyone knows that. Both men began there career in 2005 but Juanma is currently a 2 time world champion and has been champion for nearly 3 years while Abner has 0 straps.

Don't get me wrong, I am confident that Abner will become a legit world champion one day and has my full support.

abner is not behind berto carnal.Mares is facing champoins,His last couple
of fights have been against champions.His next fight is against a another

Good article. Mexicans tend to not fight for the money but I wish they would. Fighting for $$ adds to the ambition and drive you already have and it helps you stay focused on positive things(houses, cars, vacations) instead of feeling pressure. This is JM Marquez' mentality and it's the reason why he's so calm and bu$ine$$ like.

Berto has some good skills but for some strange reason he has been ducking Aydin why is that? I don't know. I don't even think Aydin is good at all, he's a hype job... Aydin has been the mandatory for 2 years, Berto needs to take care of business.

Mares has only fought 2 champions, one actually because Darchynian was not and has not even been a champ at 118.. Abner is getting there, slowly but surely.

Theres a reason why berto gots no fans.Because hes a boring paper champ.

Berto doesn't have fans because he's from a small country= little fan base. Mares and any other Mexican fighter have 40 million rabid Chicano fans in the USA and 110 million rabid Mexican fans in Mexico-- and exploding in #'s by the day!!! Furthermore, we have a reputation the world over for putting on good fights(most FOTY involve at least one Mexican) so we sell fights internationally as well. Anybody who fights a Mexican and gets a % of the PPV is also raking it in big time! I'm uncomfortable with the tone directed at my people from some in the boxing community. I feel we're underappreciated and we need to do a better job of throwing our enormous weight around.
