Yea but he still looked much better when he was with him. Maybe it was being in the same gym as a great champ like marquez. His current trainer sucks i didnt hear much advice from him during the fight. You should tell mares we want him to be the next great mexican champ.

haha Well, you have to understand a few things. The competition is getting better compared when he was with Nacho. This was Abner second southpaw he has ever faced and Vic Darchinyan is a very awkward fighter. Sure, Abner could have boxed and counter more. But everyone was expecting that. Abner wanted to take the fight to Vic. And it worked.

With that said. Abner still needs to work on a few things. I'm sure he will correct them. I honestly feel, we have yet to see the best of Abner. He will continue to get better.

The talent is there. He's the least experience out of these guys. But with these last two fights(Perez and Vic)... Abner has learned soo much.

He will only get better. And that scary considering he's already beating world class fighters.

Yea i know but with his skill and talent he should be dominating. He has all the tolls to do it and with nacho he used to look unbeatable and now he has fought two close fights in a row. Plus im telling his trainer was not giving him any advice in between rounds.

Not sure why the ref didn't disqualify Mares for excessive cheating in that fight but hey, as long as everyone pretends he won I guess it doesn't matter right?

btw, writing a shitty post doesn't qualify as an article. But as pathetic as boxing is, you might actually qualify as a "writer" somewhere.

I understand the expectations are high on Abner. But you need to let him progress. This is only his fourth fight since his career was in jeopardy. We can't change the past. only move forward.

The ref was horrible. Don't matter what side you were cheering for. As a fight fan of boxng... He was just too involved. Let them fight.

                LOL

just ask Asian Sensation, he writes crappy articles, and became famous anyway lol

Mares had two questionable descions back to back, but against REALLY GOOD fighters. And he is only 24 years old, quessing turning 25.

I don't know what has happened to Mares. Ever since he left Nacho he's slowly turned into a poor man's version of Israel Vazquez.

He's not famous, nobody reads his articles either. Writing for boxing is a thankless endeavor.

                    And pays ****.
