I don't know, there isn't even video of him fighting for anyone to judge. His greatness is all boxing lore.

Yeah, but the variables as to why he won matter. Given Tony's shape for that fight and then how he was sabotaged in the locker room before the fight, I don't even really give Mosley any credit for that win because that wasn't Margarito in there that night.
It doesn't matter if you give him credit or not. It doesn't matter what your opinion about the sabotage is the fact is that he KO'd the #1 rank WW at the time.

Of course it matters because the perception of the fight is changed by all the variables.

If I beat Kobe 1 on 1 when he's got a broken ankle are you gonna say:

"the fact is he beat the number 1 player in the world at the time"...

True, and that is why you can't judge him in a H2H fantasy match up cuz we don't know the kind of style he had, his weakness and strength and what have you. That is why I or nobody really does bring Greb up in a fantasy H2H match-up we just don't know.

However, there are enough videos of the guys he beat. And, for him to hold wins over the likes of Tunney(who even Ali was impressed by Gene skills, and Greb was the only fighter to beat him), Loughran, Walker, Rosenbloom, the Gibbon brothers. And, Greb to beat them all and to do with one good eye it is hard to argue if he wasn't good or at the very least effective with whatever style he had in the ring.

His resume is so great that he has an argument on just pure resume alone to be the GOAT over SRR...Just going by pure resume. Again 13 HOF'ers? Name somebody who has that in their resume. But, you can't cuz you really don't do research in the sport.

If I played Kobe in my basketball prime and the game was up to 15, I'd score at least 8 on him.

                      That I know for sure.

God damn man, are you dense? Its a damn analogy. Bottom line is that variables matter.

You can't just look at that fight and pretend none of the outside factors didn't matter.
