Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Marcos Maidana @ 140?

marquez stops him. and if marquez hurt him to the body maidana wouldnt make it out because marquez is smart and would have attacke the body better.

maidana too slow and too wide marquez too accurate too good of a counter puncher. instead of moving halfway across the ring in fear of getting hit and holding he would have made maidana pay for all thsoe slow ass wild punches.

Maidana stops Marquez. Marquez had immense trouble handling the size and strength of Michael Katsidis and Juan Diaz, how the hell would he handle Maidana?

Marquez can't handle above 135. Deal with it people.

JMM has definitely lost a step at 135lbs and is getting up there in age as well. At 140, I think he will get outmuscled and outgunned by someone as big as Maidana. Expect JMM to visit the canvas more than once.

marquez would tko maidana. i have 100 reasons but in short marquez would outbox the slower maidana. i don't care about maidana beeing bigger. i think its a too much of a bad style for maidana. i think maidana could score a knock down but nothing more. marquez gets up and fights THAT MUCH HARDER.

i would love to take everyones points if that fight was made

It will be a war...you feel that maybe marquez doesn't have the legs anymore. It depends how he handles maidana's power early, because I could see marquez damaging maidana with uppercuts as well, but id favour maidana to maybe wear marquez down in the 2nd half of a highly competitive fight. Maidana's jab is underrated, to body and head he sets his attacks up well, and marquez is very static at this age.

Marquez could barely handle Diaz and Katsidis. Maidana is Godzilla compared to those two. Marquez isn't fast, he wouldn't have any real speed advantage at 140. He wouldn't be able to hurt Maidana either. So he would be sitting on the ropes trying to fend off a monster and he wouldn't be able to do it. If you can't get away from Maidana or hurt him, you are f***ed.

what what part of the fight did he have problems handling the size and power of katsidis and jaun diaz? lmao both fighters are faster an more active than maidana. who seems to have bad stamina cant take body shots bad technique and is the 2nd slowest boxer behind margirito. the **** outta here marquez would knock his ass out. khan made maidana look better than what he is. just like vernon forrest made mayaorga look better than what he was. the fact marquez out punched out landed and knocked both of them out.

i swear i would think 90% of the posters on this board just started watching boxing this past summer.

marquez isn't getting warn down by ANYONE. the dude has world class stamina.....his punches and combinations goes up as the fight goes on.

people are forgetting that maidana barely beat chop chop corely....

marquez as far as I'm convinced would be a bad style for maidana.

maidana pressuring and his head being snapped back by 4 5 punch combinations is what i see.

word i really wanna know what these posters are watching or smoking. maidana boxing is ****ty and khan has no defense no boxing iq. maidana stamina was shot his punchout sucks his technique is horrible. marquez would be landing at will. how will maidana knock him out when manny coulnt. he will see marcos punches comming a mile away. his pressure isnt like katsidis or iaz or as skilled and experienced as casamyor and marquez still knocked them out. too accurate to skilled too good.
