Very disappointing list. Wolak and the older Alvarez-brother have no business to be mentioned anywhere near Cotto. Not sure about Bundrage, he is old, but he is used to this weight division and beat Cory Spinks decisively only a few months ago. Vanes would be ok, dangerous but still too green, in my opinion.

Apart from the obvious megafights (Martinez, Margarito), I would have preferred Chavez Jr, at least he has a name and it would have been a decent win on Cotto's resume.

This is a tune-up fight to stay active. Plus it will probably end on regular HBO. Plus Chavez gets sick everytime he hears Cotto's name.

It's just that Miguel does not have that many more fights in him, there have been news and rumours for 1-2 years now that retirement is a viable option rather sooner than later, so someone like Wolak or the Alvarez-brother are a real waste of time, in my opinion.

If he need a tune up I think it should be wolak. Only because he's been d....d around by chavez a few times. As a reward he gets his big fight and cotto gets some work heading into margarito. As long as they don't show up with an arm in a sling or with a foot in a walking boot, I don't care who it is

They should have just done the Martinez-Cotto fight in March and saved Cotto-Margs 2 for later.

I think Arum knows that martinez represents a really big threat for cotto and could put in jeopardy cotto-margie II

arum wont risk that chance..... to be honest... thats a smart move... martinez is on his peak unlike cotto...I can see him beating cotto... hes just too big/strong for him.
