I don't know much about montiel except that he outclassed and destroyed hasegawa, who was an elite fighter.. so all I know is this is gonna be a good ass fight, and may the best man win.

Rooting for Donaire.

Montel also got a controversial win against Z gorres who I thought won. Don't get me wrong I think Montiel is mad crazy skilled and Donaire has his hands full, but I am just saying that I think z was one of those who could have been on the level too..

Interesting matchup.

Montiel has shown he can be outboxed in his fights with ZGorres, Johnny Gonzales and Mark Johnson.

Also Donaire's defense isn't as good as most think and he is open for Montiel's money punch.

It really depends on several things and IMO this is a toss up fight. If you put a gun to my head I would have to go with Donaire.

First saw Montiel when he was matched with Jhonny....he can be outboxed.

even gorres was able to outbox him. the only reason why montiel took home the w was because of the refs 2 points deduction for holding which was bull****.

yeah its relevant. z gorres is not on donaires level, but he still able to outbox montiel. you do the math.

in my opinion, z gorres has better fundamentals & is a better boxer than donaire with close if not similar in speed. donaire just has more power and stamina than z plus more flashy style.

Man but that power can get you a looooong way.....specially in the lighter weights.......I still say Cochulo Jr takes it
