LOL and Lampley again for the Khan booty sniffing

All this talk of "Khan picked him" during the fight was driving me nuts.

Maidana was the interim champion who DESERVED the fight and wanted the fight for a year. They were acting like Maidana was busy in Argentina fighting no hopers and Khan magically heard about him and swooped in to rescue his floundering career because Khan was serching the world far and wide for the toughest person to fight.

Lame storyline. How about "Khan is defending his belt against the interim titleholder and legitimate #1 contender to his title. LIKE HE'S SUPPOSED TO DO!

There's a storyline right there, Khan doing what he's supposed to do.

Merchant probably got tired of all the incessant Khan flirting Lampley was doing. I remember an exchange where Lampley called all the Khan shots and Roy had to intervene with "nice jab landed in their by MAidana too". you would have thought Maidana landed his first punch in the 10th almost listening to lampley only.

Almost seems like Merchant is losing interest in Boxing as the days go by. I mean, he IS getting old, but he has the attitude like "Jesus Christ, do I HAVE to be here?"

I can't stand Jim Lampley and his absurd bias for the house fighter. Like..STFU, dude. He's the reason a lot of casual fans don't quite understand the sport and think compubox is the be all end all and that Jermain Taylor was putting it on Hopkins in the last round of their first fight. He makes me sick with that ****.

I was pissed of with Merchants comments because it sounded as if he was being overly critical of Khan and making out he cherry picked Maidana.

Anyway, Khan did what he was supposed to do and beat Maidana having took his best shots.
