they didn't ignore Maidana if you watch the fight there were constantly praising Maidana for showing heart and keep coming forward

I was not talking about during the fight I thought it was a little odd that they followed Khan around in England and the only thing I knew about Maidana was that he hails from some place in Argentina and he is a big puncher. In fairness to HBO I did not see the beginning of the show and only saw the last couple of rounds of the Ortiz fight, I thought the show started at 10. So I guess it is possible that showed more on Maidana earlier but I kind of doubt it.

The fighter the promoter and network are backing gets all of the attention. His opponent, unless it's another highly regarded prospect, usually gets jack **** in terms of an elaborate back story and such.
