Maidana has fought 3 of the top 6 guys at JWW.

He took everything Ortiz had and then beat him into submission.
He went to European soil to fight Kotelnik and lost a questionable decision. He did a lot of damage to Kotelnik in that fight and landed all the real telling shots.
Then, he loses to Khan after having Khan out on his feet and running through the final 1/3 of the fight.

Maidana has never been decisively beaten and has faced some 3 of the best JWWs in the world. I think he gives Bradley and Alexander a run for their money.

      What makes Ortiz #6?

How can he be ahead of Urango or Mabuza?

Yes he was, he just got decisively beaten on Saturday.

And, he has faced 2 of the top 5 JWWs in the world and he is 0-2 against them...Stop counting Ortiz as a top JWW.

The no1 will be decided when the winner of Bradley - Alexander have fought Khan.

Based on talent, I have him right around 6th best. However, he doesn't seem capable of putting it all together. Who could be ranked about him? Urango? Peterson? I just don't think there is much in the division beyond the 6 guys I mentioned.

Both Mabuza and Urango can be ranked above him...EASILY

I mean who has Ortiz beat? Besides a bunch of washed up fighters?

I mean really how is beating Salita better than beating Cherry or worse just as good as the Witter win?
I always know I can count on you JRo, thanks for saying this for me as well. The TS post was littered with BIAS from the get go.

And it kind of makes me "LOL" when he says "Maidana was in his prime condition". If that's prime condition for Maidana then it's not really saying great things about him. Don't get me wrong, I love Maidana and was hoping he would pull it out on Saturday, but his conditioning (even at his so called "best") is horrible compared to what it should be. Yeah, it was better then against Corley... but it still isn't close to what "prime" conditioning should be for any top athlete. Dudes always been a huffer and a puffer.
