Yes. Plenty of people thinking otherwise despite Maidana's dirty antics and early knockdown. Maidana threw plenty of rabbit punches and Cortez would break em up, hence people saying Cortez was favoring Khan. Damn good fight though and hell yeah Maidana had his moments.

yes, khan clearly deserved the win with some help from cortez. but you have to wonder if maidana could have finished him without those unnecessary breaks, nevermind the bad calls.

What a fight, cong**** to both guys...please may the khan haters rest. He fought a great fight, took shots, answered all the questions...is he the finished article? Hell no! A fighter with his speed should not be getting caught that much and he needs to learn how to avoid uppercuts...but then again I think most of the damage was done in the 10th, and that can happen against such a big puncher.

Maidana can win a world title, is he an elite fighter? No, but definitely world level. He is certainly better than juan urango, and ricardo torres, 2 recent south american punchers in the 140 weight class.

Give both guys props, and give me a ****ing break on the referee! Maidana deserved a deduction for the elbow, and yes cortez does break fighters up too quickly...thats his style always has been, everyone knows this, it worked against ricky hatton, and today against maidana...but in neither case would it have changed the outcome of the fight...if anything the quick breaks were helping maidana when khan was hurt late in the fight, khan could have been deducted a point for holding though. By the way just watched the 11th round back for a 2nd time...clearly a khan round in my opinion.

there's a ton of disrespectful keyboards warriors and a couple guys who respect what two elite warriors at 140 gave us in the ring last night in the clear foty.

Maidana is possibly the most relentless fighter in the world, with all due respect manny and to a lesser extent Giovanni. That makes his elite.

It appears to me than khan pretty much can only be beaten by that type of fighter and maybe Tim. I'd favor khan over Alexander and I got Bradley as an even fight, but I will likely revise my predictions after they fight.
