Khan Badly hurt, Holds on to beat Maidana.

Maidana knocked down and very hurt in the first and got saved by the bell.

    ---

Why didn't the Mayweather Mosley title read...

Mayweather Badly hurt, Holds on to beat Mosley?

KHAN DIDN'T EVEN GET KNOCKED DOWN!!, HE HUNG ON AND CONTINUED TO BOX MAIDIVAS EARS OFF!

You're just pissed that Khan survived and you wanted to see Khan get KO'd and fail.

    • Khan is winner of the fight because of the clear lead he had in the first half, but at the end he look like a loser.

      • Roach will never allow a rematch! maidana just became to khan what marquez is to pacman! Khan ran for his life the last 5 rounds! If maidana was in better shape khan would have got knocked out. Cortez was so one sided for khan! Maybe know khan will shut up about mayweather!

        • I have to Khan two points on Maidana. the Knockdown and the discount point did the difference. It is undeniable that if Cortez does not get into 10 round Maidana knock him out. Congratulations to Khan because I bear it and to Maidana because boxers like him do well to the sport.

          PD Cortez is unpresentable.

True,in spots,Amir looks like a million bucks-especially the first 4 rounds, and only about 30 seconds of every round after that when he was fading.

If a slow plodder like Maidana could get to Amir when he fades,Tim or Devon (who are better and faster than Marcos) would have little issues....

Are you also suggesting that Bradley (a guy who has good speed in his feet and hands) is going to take as many punches as Maidana???? You have got to be kidding me.The punches that Bradley knocked down Witter, would have put Khan to sleep-he would have never seen em coming.Learn a bit about this sport and come back with a debate.
Exactly. Some people suggesting that Kahn would school or even K.O. Bradley just because he beat Marcos Maidana, seems nuts to me. Maidana and Bradley fight nothing alike. Bradley may not have the power that Maidana has, but he is not as "feather fisted" as some people seem to believe. And Bradley is miles ahead of Chino when it comes to conditioning and skill level.

bradley is freekin tiny compared to Khan

jeez even pacman makes bradley look like a midget
Bradley fought Abregu with absoulutely no problem. Abregu is a few inches shorter than Kahn, but Abregu has a 1 inch longer reach then Kahn. Height and reach will not be an issue for Bradley. And Bradley has a descent jab himself. The only thing I see being a problem for Bradley against Kahn is speed, however Bradley has pretty good defense and head movement... both of which Maidana has very little of.

I am not knocking Maidana, because the guys has balls of steel. but Bradley is at a different level.

If you think Khan would beat Bradley, well thats your opinion, however, some of the post on here by Khan fans who say KHAN WOULD DESTROY BRADLEY, are obviously are a little biased.
Agree with this. Maidana does seem to have some stamina issues, is very very slow and has little to no defense. Bradley has none of those issues.

I give Kahn all the props in the world for his win against Maidana though. I still don't think it makes him "the king" or rates him over Bradley though. I'm still bewildered as to why Kahn didn't go almost exclusively to Maidanas body after the hellacious liver shot. He could have made it an early night had he pressed on focusing solely on Maidanas body. Going to Maidanas head is wasted energy IMO as we all know the man can take a hell of a head shot and keep coming. But, in all fairness, Maidana is slow as molasses and was the perfect opponent for Kahn to show off his speed. Although Kahn appears to be one of the fastest guys in the sport, against a more skilled fighter (and even against Maidana) he does slow down in the latter rounds. The more elite fighters that are able to sustain the first few rounds against Kahns speed will have a much better chance of getting to Amir and land plenty of evenly matched percentage of punches.

Maidana is and has always been TOO SLOW. He knew he was never going to win a decision against Amir, which is why it was so important for him to be able to punch when he got inside. I think that's why so many people are upset with Cortez, he was taking away the one chance Chino had to try and win the fight. How the hell do you break up two fighters on the inside when the man being held has one hand free and is wailing away on his opponent. If you can't see that as a clear disadvantage for Maidana then I don't know what to say.

You do have a point... the only thing is Floyd got hit with two solid punches the entire fight. Mayweather is so great that they say he almost lost because he got hit twice. People say that because Floyd doesnt get hit. Some still question his chin...

Anyway you still have a valid statment. Khan deserves some credit.

I did not want to see him fail but be honest with yourself this guy is no were close to being in the same league as FLOYD MAYWEATHER! The Mayweather/ Mosley bout in no way can be compared to what Amir just went through. Floyd was hurt in the second round and came back in the 3rd round to totally and completely dominated Shane thur 12. Amir was hurt repeatedly and ran only boxing in spots to survive. If not for Joe Cortez being ordered to protect him, Amir would have suffered a devastating KO loss. Amir Khan has a great offensive skill set but will never be the star Manny or Floyd are. His defense is average and his chin is far below average. Manny's Defense is average as well but his chin is battle tested so if need be he can take a good shot and continue to fight on! Amir was touched cleanly to the chin one time, ONE TIME and he was running for his life! UNLESS he is matched with perfect opponents like, Paulie Malinaggi who has no punching power at all, he will always be one punch from losing by KO! He can have a decent career against mid level guys but I don't see him being the star HBO and BOXINGS higher ups want him to be. He can improve alot of things but the chin is not one of them. I like his boxing ability! I think he has a nice style for boxing fans to appreciate, so a part of me was glad to see him not be totally destroyed at the young age of 24! If he continues to chase his dreams of being P4P best, His career will not last very long at all, Sadly.

                  The bottom line is.....
Khan fights the winner of Bradley/Alexander for all the marbles at 140.

Khan deserves huge credit for that performance, it was a superb effort.

As does Maidana BTW, big props to both guys.

Clearly, Khan is not ready for Mayweather, but come on, hands up who really thought he was? Thought so. How could he possibly have been ready for Mayweather? It doesn't happen by magic guys, and sparring with Pac is just that, sparring.

And anyone who thinks that Maidana was the man at 140 is dreaming. I like Maidana, but he is not on Bradley's level. And the "Bradley is feather-fisted" thing, is about as ridiculous as the "Khan has a glass-chin" thing.

                  • Khan won this fight easily. To the morons who are scrambling and finding any and every excuse for Maidana.....Plz stop. Fan boys like yall are what many boxing forums sites look ******. Just look at the punch stats....Khan dominated in every aspect. ****** people think that Khan being staggered for a round and a half wins a whole 12 round fight.

Now yall wanna blame the ref? Just sad and pathetic. Maidana was the dirty fighter the whole way, and was always unbalanced so he would go lunging forward and into the ropes while Khan grabbed him. News flash you fan boys.....holding and grabbing is part of the game. Its called strategey. Then again....yall dont see it like that because yall are so pathetic that, you wanted Maidana to win, and would always rag Khan, so after Khan wins, you dont wanna admit you were wrong, and would rather continue to strive to get that sad and pathetic gratification, of being right about a fighter so you can be the "One" that said, i told you about him.

Go ahead and tell me...i was blind when watching the fight, and how i know nothing.....O yeah also dont forget to tell me that im in love with Khan, and to get the nuts out of my mouth....Comon you fan boys....yall are so predictable.

                    • I am now joining all the people who criticize Joe Cortez I had personally had ever seen him mess up in A fight like he did last night. Yes Khan won witch is good but Cortez Really helped him out a little bit. How many times do you have to warn a boxer on holding and holding behind the head. I think Cortez did a poor job last night
