    by no means was vic robbed the fight looked like it was his in the start but abner did what he had to. never gave up fought every round thus paying off for him in the final rounds and won by split, good fight i.m.o. someone had to lose

        Well put. Mares won but he fought a dumb fight. I've mentioned on here what a good boxer he **USED TO BE**-- not anymore.

            In all due fairness to Mares it's kinda hard to fight a guy who's leaning back on his back foot and waiting to sneak in one shot at a time. It takes away your jab and throws off your rythym. A similar thing happened to Kennedy Mckinney vs Vuyani Bungu.

                  I was thinking the same thing. He's regressed ever since leaving Nacho.

                    Mares deserved this win. If only he had more experience with southpaws I'm sure he would've KO'd Vic. Vic blocked most of his left hooks and he was able to frustrate Mares at times. I expected Mares to stop Vic late and was waiting for it on the edge of my seat.
