You have no idea what you're talking about.

If the motion you're talking about was responsible for putting Spinks down, he would have fell into the ropes.

Spinks was moving back of his own choice, and the punch to the body (regardless of where on the body it landed or how flush it was) clearly sends Spinks down in a different direction than they were moving.

Again, a punch to the upper body that sends a fighter down as a result is a knock down.

The point is, if it's a punch to the upper body that causes the knock down, it's a knock down.

It doesn't matter that the other fighter is off balance (of his own fault) or if the punch isn't flush.

There was no push, it was a punch that caught Spinks off balance and sent him down.

Having a different opinion is fine, but not when it's with a lack of understanding of the rules.
Your tellin me that at no point do you see contact between the two fighters.

I'm telling you that your logic of them making contact at the 33/34 second mark is nonsense, because if that's what put Spinks down, he would have fell towards the ropes, not in the direction the punch seemed to send him in.

I'm not saying anyone's wrong, just the logic used so far to dismiss it has been ignorant.

There's been many a knock down much more sketchy than this that have counted.

And again, regardless of it being high on the side, contacting the arm 1st...

if a puch connects to the upper body that sends the opponent down, it's a knock down.

No I dont think it was a knockdown. If you notice....Mayorga's left knee bumps into an already crouched Spinks that sent him off balance. That was a definite slip IMO.

it wasn't a clean knockdown but it was a legal knockdown.

i have dialup and it took over ten minutes for it to load up.one second was like thirty frames. spinxs ass touched the canvas for a split second before he did the gymnastics.

it should of been called KD because spinxs was an idiot for doubleing over to get away from a glancing blow. then panicking and freezing up preparing himself for a blow to the back of the head.mayorga smelling blood got over angtious and didnt land any punches except for that wack to the side of the body that was exzagurated by spinxs quick reflexes of rideing with the punch.

spinx didnt look the least hurt.
