Can't fault Mayorga cause Spinks was off balance when he threw the punch.

Best body shot: That honor belongs to Gatti against Dorin. Second, Hopkins against DLH.

            4. I do not give a rat's ass.

            It was clearly a punch.

You seem to be under the impression that it has to be a flush intentional shot for it to count.

            Wrong.

A shot landed to the upper body that causes the other guy to go down is a knock down. Period.

If you'd care to explain where this push is I'd like to hear it.

Thats my feelin. he doesnt get hit flush or glancin really. The rib shot maybe, but not in that fashion. a body blow usually drops someone after 1-3 seconds. Not usually immediatly. Also, the guy comin in was pushin into at already off balance spinks. Now, if spinks was just mearly duckin and not already startin to lose his balance and he fell, then yea, he got KD, but thats not the case. So no, not this one. Others in that fight, Yes.

Ok then, look at it at 34 going on 33 seconds. It was not a push of the arms, it was a push with his body, to a fighter already on his heels moving backward. If you dont see that your blind. The punch was high on the back, not in a detramentel spot. He also catches his fist on spinks's arm. Maybe if spinks was the type of fighter with a soft body then yeah, but come on. he is in great shape. But like i said earlier. He cleary was gettin knocked left and right in the fight, lots of the KD's were legitimate KD's, but i dont feel this one was.

Once again, Spinks being off balance is not an excuse.

Hamed was knocked down quite a bit for being off balance, and they were always correctly called knock downs.

The point is, if it's a punch to the upper body that causes the knock down, it's a knock down.

It doesn't matter that the other fighter is off balance (of his own fault) or if the punch isn't flush.

There was no push, it was a punch that caught Spinks off balance and sent him down.

Having a different opinion is fine, but not when it's with a lack of understanding of the rules.
