If Ortiz loses Golden Boy will **** themselves...I think their matchmakers feel pretty comfortable about this one.

But Ortiz really hasn't fought anyone at this level yet Technically speaking.

Like Maidana is a pretty decent fighter, but i consider him maybe a C+ or a B- type of guy.

Lamont is definetly a B fighter with some potential to move up, but he is a competely different fighter then Maidana

He is technically a very good fighter. Multi-dimensional in the sense that he can box and he can fight.

Peterson definitely has a chin, although Bradley isn't a big puncher and he dropped/hurt him. But Bradley hurts lots of sturdy guys, and Ortiz doesn't apply the kind of pressure that's gonna really bother Lamont.

This is a good matchup. Should be a hell of a fight. I wanna favor Lamont though.

Ortiz didnt look good against Campbell or Maidana, the two best fighters he has fought. Ortiz has REAL power though, so a KO is surely possible

      We shall see.

My advice for Ortiz is to move to 147 and hire roach cuz roach won't train Ortiz at 140 cuz Khan and Ortiz can clash...Ortiz was trying to fight slick and he did it too much...I think Danny Garcia can be assistant trainer and Roach should take over...Ortiz has Pacquiao like qualities and hits so much harder than Khan...Ortiz can probably be better than Pacquiao if Roach trains him...either he should hire roach for a 147 debute or Bradley's trainer for 147, but I noticed Ortiz will be drained at exactly 140 he came in at 156!!!

Garcia can no longer match ortiz' talent with world class combos which is what he lacked in this fight and someone teach Ortiz how to jab affectively!!!

a promising start turned into a below par finish for ortiz , such a dissapointment , he could have made a real statement tonight , i guess the ghosts of maidana are still there because he seems too passive at times , vic definantely has the ability though and IMO he should have gotten the decision

I knew something was up once I heard that it was at 141lbs, and that it was only scheduled for 10 rounds. He needs some serious work because I saw a lot of potential going to waste tonight.
