I'm Kinda liking Lamont Peterson to beat ORTIZ

He is a decided underdog I'm sure, although my sportsbook hasn't posted the odds yet.

But Ortiz really hasn't fought anyone at this level yet Technically speaking.

Like Maidana is a pretty decent fighter, but i consider him maybe a C+ or a B- type of guy.

Lamont is definetly a B fighter with some potential to move up, but he is a competely different fighter then Maidana

He is technically a very good fighter. Multi-dimensional in the sense that he can box and he can fight.

Peterson definitely has a chin, although Bradley isn't a big puncher and he dropped/hurt him. But Bradley hurts lots of sturdy guys, and Ortiz doesn't apply the kind of pressure that's gonna really bother Lamont.

This is a good matchup. Should be a hell of a fight. I wanna favor Lamont though.

Ortiz didnt look good against Campbell or Maidana, the two best fighters he has fought. Ortiz has REAL power though, so a KO is surely possible

    We shall see.

I've been looking for someone to bet with. I'll put 2 million on Ortiz to your 1 million on Peterson.

    Deal?

ortiz should win this. ortiz is the more naturally gifted athlete. ortiz is a boxer/puncher. lamont is a boxer. ortiz should win and might get a stoppage.

lamont is B- to C level boxer.

one thing is for sure, it's gonna be a pitty-pat affair. super boring.

I agree with everything said, but as soft a puncher as Lamont is, I HATE the way Ortiz responds to getting hit.

He pulls back and it seems like EVERY SINGLE punch bothers him.

Peterson is gonna be peppering all the time. I think Ortiz is gonna be frustrated a lot

Done deal. I'll add it to my bets thread.

I won't be able to pay immediately if I lose, because I'll be in Las Vegas at the fight!

Ortiz wins this fight by UD.

I'd bet on a score like 116-112 for Victor. Possibly a knockdown near the end of the fight.
