I can only see a declining Pavlik & Williams as his good wins resume wise. For me he needs at least 3 more credible opponents b4 I give him one of the worthy p4p bests.

Sergio deserves to be where he is at right now. In fact, I think he's one of the most legit boxers on the P4P list.

Well P4P is all a mythical based opinion though...

So that it really doesn't matter.

Lol it was only a matter of time before this topic was made.
so overrated because he lacks fundamental skills? You're saying if he got both wins this year with fundamental skills he wouldn't be overrated?

He beat Pavlik yes, a very slow fighter and obviously not in the better shape of his career both mentally and physically and yes he knocked Williams out cool but I'm very surprised we waited for so long to see someone doing that to him, the guy is only "height and reach" end of the line.

Williams used to dominate smaller and slower boxers with his height, reach and volume punching and in the process looked superman, but all was smoke and mirrors + HBO.

Ironically exact at the same moment that Martinez knocked out Williams he was wide open also for a counter meaning a faster and more accurate fighter could caused the same result against him. He drop his hands way too much and his defense is bad at best. How many of you guys remember in the way he was knocked out by Margarito? I strongly believe that the result would be the same in a rematch any day with the same Margarito that fought Manny Pacquiao.
Since you say he is over-rated who you think that would beat him right now?

he is a bit overrated. he is of balance a lot, his style isnt smooth its akward and he gets wreckless. but for his size he has speed and a lot of heart. He is good but people are overrating him a little.

okay so how about the great performance he had on PWill in their first fight? does that count?

He landed a great shot, but we didn't get to see a display of his skills as the fight was too short.
                  you're kidding right

if I am not mistaken he landed about 8-9 of those great shots. Watch the fight.

and also even though it was two rounds you could clearly see that Martinez and his team had their gameplan down to a tee and it was working well
