catch weights serve one purpose and thats too make the fight fair and square. catch weights have been done for decades. so pac isnt the only one. look at these guys pac has fought they still come in 10-15 lbs heavier.

so if that's really true then a catchweight should be implemented in a 3rd fight with Pacquiao and Marquez to make it fair, it shouldn't be like that just one way, it shouldn't be fair for Manny to ask for a catch weight yet Marquez or other opponents can't ask him to do it, it's hypocritical, disrespectful and simply unfair and he's trying to justify his bullshit by acting like it's an honor to face him, like he's not just a fighter at the end of the day.

people make such a big deal about how Floyd flaunts money and how Floyd does this and that but they say absolutely nothing about how Manny is pimping other fighters, literally making the point that "I can, you can't" and the commission does NOTHING, they even sanction the bullshit because they are full of shit too, they don't do their job good, they don't care about fighters they care about money which is why they sanction this crap.

A catch-weight with Marquez isn't necessary because they are practically the same size and Pacquiao isn't going to rehydrate one or two weight classes higher after the weigh-ins. Pacquiao and Marquez would weigh more or less the same on fight night so there won't be any size advantage.

When Pacquiao asks for a catch-weight it is to prevent his opponent from gaining too much weight after the weigh-ins. Fighters back in the day didn't really need catch-weights because the weigh-ins were on the night of the fight so if you fought at 147 you would basically enter the ring at 147, they didn't have 24h to gain a weight advantage.

If Pacquiao feels best at 147 then why can't fighters who think that they are better than him beat him at his best weight?
It's not like he is huge at welter weight or he is going to gain a serious weight advantage after the weigh-ins so the catch-weight isn't necessary.

Marquez is str8 *****, he's nothing but a weight advantage at 140, even half a inch taller & a bit bigger which represent 3 to 4 pounds apart in the ring. It would be ****** for Pac to drain down to 140 after 4 fights comfortably at 147. Styles make fights, JMM is not fighting defensif fraud which out smart him by weight & ****weather, cynically although probably rather shrewdly, refused to disclose his own weight. ****weather could be at 170 pounds for his beat down midget bean.
