    On Tuesday, the International Boxing Hall of Fame announced their selections for induction. Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, three-division champion Julio Cesar Chavez of Mexico, Kostya Tszyu, a junior welterweight champion, Mexican trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain, referee Joe Cortez, and screenwriter Sylvester Stallone were all selected. Posthumous honorees to be enshrined on June 12, 2011 include: bantamweight Memphis Pal Moore, light heavyweight champion Jack Root, and middleweight Dave Shade in the old-timer category; British heavyweight John Gully in the pioneer category; promoter A.F. Bettinson; and broadcaster Harry Carpenter.

          Joe Cortez!? Dude is a horrible ref. I hate at the beginning of fights too when he says that dumb line "i'm fair but i'm firm", nobody cares dude we're here to see the fighters not you.

              most likely Stallone be in the Observer category, which is for journalists, publishers and so on. Budd Schulberg is in the Hall as an "observer' and he wrote "The Harder They Fall" and "On the Waterfront".

                  What a joke with Stallone.

                  I know he is a boxing fan but **** that guy, he has been talking **** about how boxing is dying and now they give that HGH freak a HOF spot.

                    I'm a Stalone fan but can't think of any reason why he should be in the IBHOF...?

                    Good to hear about Tszyu, Tyson and Chavez though.
