They had to let Stallone in under some kind of criteria.

Perhaps "advancement" of the sport or some kind of bull**** like that for making boxing even more popular with his movies. I'd be pissed if I was a fighter.

These ballets are starting to get handed out like those wbc and wba belts. Who wouldnt be pissed. These guys have and will continue to pay the price for their sacrifices only to have an ACTOR who plays a boxer get to the hall of fame over them???????

He's not going in as a boxer, he's going in as an observer. If a journalist, promoter, broadcaster can get into the HOF, then why can't the screenwriter of the most significant boxing movie of all time?

Having stallone in the IBHOF is completely ridiculous. Guess they will eventually have Mark Wahlberg for playing Micky Ward, might as well also add Apollo Creed oh and that guy from the japanime boxing series...

Not only did this fool get a statue in Philly over guys like Joe Frazier...

I watched Rocky and respect it for what it is. (Pretty solid movie)

but I tend to agree that having a Rocky statue is a bit much

actual professional athletes should get statues (i.e Magic Johnson for example)
not fictional movie characters.

But Godzilla should have a statue made of him because hes a big part of Japan's culture.....
