    Khan-Maidana isn't sold out.

    @danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
    @boxingfan8 According to @goldenboyboxing, Khan-Maidana isn't sold out. They made that clear on today's conference call for the undercard.

    I'm a little surprised.

    Not shocked though.

      its cause the fights in vegas ... they dont care if its sold out anyways. they get the site fee. it made more sense for this fight to have been in nyc. khan paulie was sold out, and it was obvious khan had a lot of supporters. it could have been made into his backyard of sorts and build from there ... but vegas puts up more $$$ so its hard to compete or do whats best for the fighter and the sport

        Top Rank would have done a better job if they handled the promotions

          They would have at least lied about the paid attendance and given away tickets for the remaining seats.

            You mean by the way they managed to get 50,000 for Manny-Clottey and then 40,000 for Manny-Marg?

            Hell Marquez and Manyweather did not even sell out lol so it is not hardly surprising that a card full of relative unknowns can't sell out a Vegas show.

            What is the capacity of Mandalay Bay anyway? I believe it is around 16,000 - 17000 capacity?

              Why would anyone think this would sell out in Vegas?

                Nobody wants to sit down through the undercards only to see Khan get ktfo in under 3 minutes.

                  If they come anywhere close to selling out (as claimed by one person on a different site) then it's a major success.

                  Marquez-Katsidis only got 5k.

                    What fights actually sell out? I don't know why anyone thinks that it would have.
