now, just as we acknowledge that manny is going into the ring at X pounds disadvantage against cotto or margarito, we must acknowledge that manny was fighting naturally smaller guys in the Mex 3:

    four pound advantage on Marquez

    six pound advantage on Barrera

    five pound advantage on Morales

    We agree?
A more critical person might say that Manny was beating smaller and older fighters.

But I don't belittle people's accomplishments that way.

    I'm a BOXING fan.

don't care about that. you can argue with the other guys on that.

i just want to solve this case of the missing water.

I don't know about the "missing water". But I've had to make weight, so I can only speak from my experiences.

Yes it is true that Oscar came in damn low, now I think it was his plan to stay with Pac's speed, but it backfired, as with his request to fight Manny, when I personally feel his left hook would have hurt Marg for a whole 12.

In terms of weight, Manny was bigger, but height and reach play a big part of boxing.

MMA is where weight and size can play a great deal because you jump on another man, while in boxing leaning does happen, a man doesn't alwsys use his weight to his advantage like in wrestling for example.

Maybe a higher weight allows you to have more strength, power and take a better shot, but speed, accuracy, timing, workrate, angles, power, footwork, generalship, style and stamina are more important vs a certain opponent.

Now there will be a time when someone is just too damn big of course and no matter how much of the good attributes you have, there will be a point where either style or size is just too much.

In boxing, if the other guy is just too damn long and big, getting in range makes life so much harder. This is what I find in sparring anyway.

i went from 165lbs up to 210lbs my shoe size went from 9 too size 11 my waist from 31ins to 35ins and my head is alot bigger.. Morales, Barrera & Marquez are all vastly superior fighters than Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, DeLaHoya (shot) and Margarito regardless of weight... Roach has improved Pacquiao in every department of the sport of boxing and Mayweather, Oscar & Schaafer cannot handle it, they do not have the cash-cow of their dreams..Pacquiao will win this lawsuit and the payout could run into $50 million or more.. Floyd is sitting back waiting to see how this lawsuit starts to go then he will accept a fight with Pacquiao accepting all the terms of Arum & Roach as long as the Lawsuit is dropped... i hope Arum & Roach say to Floyd **** off we don't need you and Pacquiao retires at the top with Floyd, Oscar and Co owing millions of dollars to him in the lawsuit so Floyd then has to fight the likes of Martinez, Margarito, Khan and all the upcoming fighters just to make up all the money he had to payout in the lawsuit... Floyd kept us the boxing fans waiting in hope that he would fight Pacquiao yet pissed us all off by going awol so it will be enjoying to watch him lose his O to Khan then Martinez then Margarito in fights he cannot refuse to accept due to money problems.
