Summed it up.. Simple, I don't know how people still don't get it.People are really complicating this weight issue way more than they should. Manny used to drain himself to make the lower weights and then rehydrate 10-15 lbs after the weigh-in. So he'd go from 130 to 145ish overnight.
Now he doesn't cut weight, just consumes a ton of calories and trains like a demon so he weighs in at what he used to rehydrate to (144-146) only in lean muscle instead of water, then overnight only puts on 3-4 lbs of water weight.
So his in-ring weight has only increased by not even a handful of lbs over the years. Only difference is he's no longer draining himself.Comment

whats so hard to believe about that? u just answered your own question. for a guy to be doing that much at once shows his dedication. so manny has one bad training camp his previous fight why are u trying to make it seem like he does all that in his previous training camp? his last training camp there was a lot of things that was getting in the way when they were still in the PI, but once manny gets in the gym he puts 110% into it. he might show up late but he makes up for that.I never understood this. Do you seriously believe Manny works harder than every other boxer in the gym or something? The guy who shows up weeks late, takes days off during camp, changes his conditioning program, films movies, does karaoke, doesn't heed trainer commands...yet they still expect people to believe he has this oh so incredible regimen that allows him to do all of that and show up in incredible condition. And you wonder why people are su****ious.Comment

no one is saying he is incapable of cheating. but when people like you, who have already judged him as a cheat, and would bring up the peds topic everyday just for the purpose of hating...pacfans would come up to defend him.
but i think the more that pacfans will defend him, the more the peds issue will not go away. the best way really is to ignore the haters but they get so annoying sometimes.Comment

He looks as ripped at 145 as he does at 130, only he looks more muscular too me.
I really don't think it can be argued that pac put on muscle mass.Comment

I do believe he works harder than a lot of boxers yes. He has full support of his trainer, has teams of people who do everything for him, including 'ped' Ariza.I never understood this. Most boxers have to drive their own car, wash and order their own food etc... the time he get's to do things like sing, is the time saved by not having to do stuff. Also from what I have seen, there are boxers who never train 1 or 2 days a week anyway.
Boxers do go out when it's off training, it happens. They may cut down on sex, internet etc to focus, but they still lead normal lives.
If you have one of the best trainers in the world, a whole team behind you, and train, then you should come in shape.
For example, if Manny and Floyd did the same work out as maybe an C level fighter, they may still come into better shape because of genetics.
Some people have better metabloic rates, and better bodies. These top guys have been funnelled down to the best, there are ltos that do train hard yes, but they haven't got what it takes in boxing.
The same goes for anything almost, one guy may read more and revise than another, but have worse results in exams.
Weeks late?
Most boxers have training 8-10 weeks prior to a fight.Comment

You think they will get it?? Come on man... If Pac passed a test with flying colors, you know that they are not going to let floyd down by not thinking of an even more ****** excuse. It ****** to even argue, it is better to just rub the fact that everyone else has the common sense to see the truth that their boy is widely known as the coward in this equation.. They can't harm pacquiao with their opinionated imaginations on a message board.Last edited by Alibata; 12-06-2010, 04:01 PM.Comment
