He is. If you're talking about the Mosley fight yeah I agree he planted his feet a lot more in this fight.
However, I still say that Floyd ain't the type of fighter you can catch with combos, maybe you'll land one shot but he'll be out of range for the second. And DLH tried to land combos when Floyd was on the rope and it was totally uneffective.
It did not help him at all. But Beristain was right.
Did you see the DLH fight. DLH was very active and actually made that fight a very close fight.
He was throwing big combinations.
Wether it worked for JMM or not , thats not the point.
JMM was getting countered. Why? He had no business at 145 , he was slow as fk.
We all know Pacquiao throws 6 ,7 punch combos. And that will kill Floyd.
Floyd has great reflexes he has great defense. But he has never seen combos , angles , style like Manny.
He will duck a few punches , but it wont happen all night.
Pacquiao will keep throwing , and Pacquiao will start chatching him
If Floyd fights Manny , I will eat my words of him being a coward. And if hes able to shut Manny donw like he does to his opponents , I will be impressed.
But lets face it. Floyd's last opponents dont compare to Pacquiao's opponents.
Cotto , Clottey , Margarito. They might not be as skilled , but they are top fighters who have their strenghts and posses threats.
I don't agree, find me one video where DLH landed more than 2 punches in the same combos and I will apologize. DLH flurries were mostly uneffective, however the crowd and commentators made it seems like it was a big deal.
The thing is that Floyd is in constant movement so you don't have the time to plant your feet on the ground and throw 3+ punches combination. You really think Floyd will be a stationary target like all previous Pac's opponent ?
and u think manny is slow just like all floyds pass opponents? floyd is in great shape and so is manny. u cant run around all 12 rounds.
I doubt it, I think Pac is somewhat over rated, if Marquez gave him so much trouble imagine what Floyd will do (he's a bigger, stronger, faster JMM). Anyway, I don't expect this fight to ever happen because Pac will never agree to drug testing.
I dont expect this fight to happen either.
But your disregarding the fact that JMM and Pac fought at 135. And pacquiao was 129 and 125 for his fights.
We are talking about an almost 20 pound difference.
Not only that , but Pac has improved in every aspect. Not just small improvements. He is a more complete fighter.
Pac is not overrated.
And didnt Pac agree to drug testing?? Seriously , Im not trying to be a smart ass. I thought he did agreed. And Floyd said after the Shane fight he was going to take some time off.

In the JMM fight as well, the older he gets the more stationary he will get, and it is quite obvious to see.
Sure, he will maintain his distance, and will still use his lateral movement... I am not saying he is a statue.. but "constant movement" is not accurate.
Moving around the ring like he did at 130lbs is long gone.
He really isn't in constant movement like Paul Williams or even Pacquiao..
He will still be very effective by being more staionary though... his defense and countering ability will still give success instead of having to move around the ring like he used too.

Your misunderstanding my point.
DLH did land more than 2 punches in some of those combos , but thats not even the point.
The point is Floyd cannot handle 7 , 8 punch combos from manny all fight long.
I am comparing the styles. Not the oputcome.
DLH flurries will not be the same as Manny's flurries.
Manny keeps it up , in and out , way faster , from more angles.
Its not just the amount , but the speed.
Its almost impossible to duck Pacquiao's speed , let alone avoid all those punches.
Manny is a volume puncher. And is by far the fastest puncher in the game.
And if DLH was able to do what he did to Floyd , I see Pac having more success
