doesnt matter if you fight a great fight its all about your exposure and those fighters wont bring the sport back by any means
Its not very important to me how the general public sees boxing or whether or not they have a "freekin clue hwo the hell rafa marquez or katsidis is." If us hardcore boxing fans get to watch good fights, who cares what the general public thinks?

so right there you dont care about the state of boxing. Boxing is dead to what it use to be. Yea floyd and pac do great numbers but thats like twice a year. UFC is throwing out ppv with 500k-1mill ppv buys every month. How many quality ppv events do boxing do a year 2 ... ufc? 12 + free fight nights every now and then.

UFC is all about the fans .......

I don't care about PPV numbers or how popular boxing is. 100 people around the world could like boxing for all I care, as long as I get to watch it, why should I care how many other people like it?

As a boxing fan, I'm frustrated. But what's new? I appreciate the way 2010 is ending though.

2011 is going to start out great if Donaire and Montiel are fighting like its been reported. Great fight for boxing fans, but doubt the casual fans give 2 ****s about it.

I've been a bit disapointed about the sport lately. This sport is about showing courage and stepping up to the task. And I don't feel like everyone wants to show courage.

Cherrypicking is a part of boxing nowadays and it's a damn shame.

I mean looking back at 2010 it's been one of the worst years of boxing ever, besides Nov and dec.

obviously theres major fundamental problems in out sport ... 2009 was a stellar year with a lot of momentum going into 2010. we're closing out 2010 strongly, i hope this momentum will continue throughout 2011.

hbo should have all the cards because they control the majority of the money. they should take a page from their rivals showtime and buy good fights, not names and records. and since hbo holds the purse strings and they should act accordingly. force the fights that should be happening and refuse to buy substitutes.

once quality entertaining fights are being made consistently the people will come back to the sport
