I was just throwing a top MMA name out there... Anderson Silva, Shogun, BJ Penn. All of these guys are just as inactive as the top boxers.

No I am not. Pac-Mayweather should have already happened. Now it seems like it will never happen. It doesn't matter whch side you are on, as boxing fans we all lose on this fight not happening.

Anderson Silva (injured) BJ Penn has fought twice in the past few months. Your happy that boxers are inactive. All the fights in MMA you get to see. Where are all the great boxing fights you wanna see in boxing? Promoters heads are too big to deal with eachother.

I've already said I'm not happy at the inactivity of boxers, but as I've said the sport has evolved. I haven't read anywhere that Anderson is injured.

There are 2 reasons the top fights are easily made in MMA:

          1. Dana White controls the majority of the top fighters in MMA, they're under contract with the UFC so he can match them up however he likes. Boxing is ran differently.

          2. The standard of fighter in MMA is a lot lower, they don't have anyone as good as Floyd or Pac that are so far ahead of the rest that their fights look like mismatches.

He speaks the truth though. Every boxing fan wants to see Mayweather/Pacquiao, there is no bigger fight on the planet and yet we have these self serving promoters who tell us how impossible it is to get it on. WTF.

If we never get to see Mayweather/Pacquiao, then as a boxing fan I feel we've been robbed of the biggest fight for at least one generation.

I may happen to think that Floyd is the worst kind of walking cliche/ joke of a human being, but as a boxer he is truly exceptional. He must be forced to take this fight. Humiliated into taking it. Called out, named, shamed until there are no excuses left, no vacations no olympic tests, no promotional issues - just the two best fighters in the world getting it on for the biggest accolade in boxing - the recognition that they are the P4P no 1 of their generation.

No, not when the supposedly two top fighters in our sport avoid the best out there. I mean one of these fighters is giving an opportunity to a fighter whos last two fights consists of a draw and a loss. And the fight before that it was against a fighter who has a win and a loss and looked like **** in both of those fights.

They may be able to sugar-coat these fights to casual fans, but boxing fans aren't blind.

you think Segura or CALDERON will bring boxing back? NO! its the boxing personalities who are known to the general public. all my friends know who the hell mayweather and pacquiao are and id bet a pretty penny that they have no freekin clue hwo the hell rafa marquez or katsidis is.

doesnt matter if you fight a great fight its all about your exposure and those fighters wont bring the sport back by any means
