What are you talking about Montiel hasnt been ducking anyone Montiel has been trying to fight him since the Darchinyan fight you need to check your news and not go ahead and make decisions on a fight based on race thank God im not filipino nor mexican to make a decision on this or any other great filipino vs mexican fight. Honestly i think montiel is slightly faster and skilled than Donaire only advantage for Donaire is Montiel is coming up in weight but id say its going to be a war time to test Donaire true skills and prove everyone that the Darchinyan fight was not a flukeComment

point is donaire still fighting bums out of the street.... eh for me no hate on donaire coz im filipino too, i think its time for him to kick it up a notch... i wouldn't say mabuhay all the filipino boxer but all the boxers who put their effort to give us a good fight all year long>>>>>Comment

I think that is Nonito's biggest flaw, he does drop his left too often. he usually gets away with it because he is so much quicker than his opponents; i think he is faster than montiel but there is not that great a differenceComment

People already making excuses before Montiel even gets beat saying that Nonito is too big for him, bull**** excuse and it truly shows how much faith people have for Montiel against Donaire.Comment

like i said before... bad promotion. blame arum for keeping donaire in the closet. doing pinoy power bs... i wonder why i havent seen donaire on a pac undercard. a performance like last night on a pac undercard wouldve given nonito PLENTY of exposure.... rios + donaire = exciting undercard.
Wishful thinking, but it would be nice to see him on the undercard of Pacquiao's next PPV. Doesn't even have to be against a big name opponent, he could fight a b-level opponent to stay active, just to get exposure.
From what I've read, Donaire-Montiel is the main event if the fight happens, so that's a huge step already.Comment

Donaire does that to bait. I think his counter-punching ability trumps Montiel's. If you watch Montiel throw a jab, he still has remnants of that "bow and arrow" effect that Jermaine Taylor had issues with. Where Donaire drops his hands to set traps, Montiel drops his hands in bad habits.Comment
