but donaire was sitting out for a WHILE... arum was doing a horrible job with him. donaire was WAITING to fight vic again. promotors couldnt make it happen. why the hell would donaire be scared of vic? LOL.

for the longest time, donaire was just trying to get a meaningful fight signed.
No bull at all. Donaire was going to put it to Darchinyan again... he should be thankful the rematch didn't come off.

Honestly i think montiel is slightly faster and skilled than Donaire only advantage for Donaire is Montiel is coming up in weight but id say its going to be a war time to test Donaire true skills and prove everyone that the Darchinyan fight was not a fluke
agree with verdugo, what the hell does this even mean. first off, Donaire is the one moving up. SEcond, Donaire is faster and stronger than montiel. Third Donaire-Montiel was supposed to happen in November but Montiel backed out claiming he wanted to fight his mandatory

exactly... some of these posters are ridiculous. these are the same people that expect donaire to jump divisions to fight juanma & gamboa IMMEDIATELY. LOL.

i think donaire is doing good.

like i said before... bad promotion. blame arum for keeping donaire in the closet. doing pinoy power bs... i wonder why i havent seen donaire on a pac undercard. a performance like last night on a pac undercard wouldve given nonito PLENTY of exposure.... rios + donaire = exciting undercard.

I think that is Nonito's biggest flaw, he does drop his left too often. he usually gets away with it because he is so much quicker than his opponents; i think he is faster than montiel but there is not that great a difference

People already making excuses before Montiel even gets beat saying that Nonito is too big for him, bull**** excuse and it truly shows how much faith people have for Montiel against Donaire.

I have been thinking the same way about Donare for a while now. He should be on a Pacquiao undercard. It would give him a ton of exposure and widen his fanbase.

Wishful thinking, but it would be nice to see him on the undercard of Pacquiao's next PPV. Doesn't even have to be against a big name opponent, he could fight a b-level opponent to stay active, just to get exposure.

From what I've read, Donaire-Montiel is the main event if the fight happens, so that's a huge step already.

Donaire does that to bait. I think his counter-punching ability trumps Montiel's. If you watch Montiel throw a jab, he still has remnants of that "bow and arrow" effect that Jermaine Taylor had issues with. Where Donaire drops his hands to set traps, Montiel drops his hands in bad habits.

Hold on people, Montiel still has to win next week.
