Alvarez fought a pro who was throwing hands before he was born. The idea was to highlight his 38 win progress against an aged veteran.
I thought Saul looked slow, appeared tired after 6, demonstrated frustration with his 39 year old opponent, missed wildly at times and showed poor reflexes and footwork.
He may only be 20, but I do not see him improving greatly. Oscar thinks he has star power but this potential star will dim quickly if they raise the competition right now.
Grade:C. A not ready for prime time player whom without De La Hoya would never have been showcased on any channel other then ESPN right now. That's why HBO snuck it in after midnight. This Golden Boy prodigy layed an egg in my opinion.

NOT with that Defense! Cotto would destroy Saul right now...maybe in another 2-3 years he will be ready but he is not ready for any of the Top Welterweights or Light Middleweights right now

          By why?
Senchenko has the habit of stepping straight back when you throw at him. I can see Canelo coming forward getting him against the ropes and getting him in trouble. Sasaki hit Senchenko with some nice flush rights hands when he backed straight out. Canelo is taller and has more power so I can see him do it also. Senchenko has a good jab & a good enough counter puncher to make Alvarez pay for getting wild. Alvarez outpoints him tho. Senchenko's been benefiting from hometown judging.

Maybe you were drunk or werw watching Cintronīs fights. Puto Ricans are boring fighters. Mexicans are action fighters. I bet you would have fallen asleep with the Soto.Antillon fight, ******o.

Well if he is camping at 154, who better than Cotto. Plug this in one of PR/Mex holidays to fuel our evident rivlvary. (No rivivarly from me, I think its total propaganda bull****). And you have a marketable fight.
finally someone who sees thru it they use peoples nationlistic vanity to their advantage and make a profit from it
