  • Comments Thread For: Saul Alvarez-Lovemore Ndou Early Results From Mexico

At the Estadio Beto Avila in Veracruz, Mexico, former champion Daniel Ponce De Leon (41-2, 34KOs) stopped Sergio Manuel Medina (35-4, 20KOs) in the seventh round. Ponce De Leon continues his run for a rematch with Juan Manuel Lopez, the current featherweight champion of the WBO. It should be noted that Juanma stopped Medina in one round back in 2008. Ponce De Leon has won seven bouts since the first round TKO loss to Juanma in 2008.

Canelo has a killer left hook. I can see him ending Pacmans career in a couple years if they meet up then. He also has a sneaky uppercut. He can easily beat Senchenko right now. I say he should get a couple more rounds before trying to fight against Zaveks style but I can see him beating Zavek. Canelo definitely has the tools too give Berto hell already but that fight is also premature at this point. Canelo has the tools to be champ already hope they can get Senchenko soon cuz he is ripe for the picking.

Lets be real. Alvarez is a good up and comer but he still has years to groom. If he fights Berto next year, he is getting whooped. Berto is to fast and Alvarez gets caught a lot. Plus Alvarez isn't fast but throws good combinations. But Berto whoops him in 8 if they fought next year. But in a couple years he will have a better chance if he is brought up right and not shoved to the lions like Vargas was.
