Many of us have been su****ious of Mayweather's choice of opponents for years, the whole time listening to him tell us he is the best but not willing to fight the best. When I first joined here I was suprised to see so many that bought into the Mayweather hype. Many of those people attack Manny Pacquiao in defence of Mayweather which is sad because alot of these young fans are missing a great fighter during his hayday. Hopefully more will see Mayweather as what he is/was and take notice that there are alot of REAL greats entering the ring.

I would say the same in reverse to you it is sad that people can't look past Floyd's word to see his true greatness because you are missing a lot.

most people who are disenchanted with Floyd (myself included) are that way because we saw what he did at 130-5. We saw how he took challenges and destroyed real challenges. We saw him accept fights when he didn't have a huge advantage. Then we saw him jump to chase a slow outclassed gatti and spend the rest of his career acting like a businessman and not a fighter. We don't like people who barely take risks in opponents or in the ring. We don't like guys who are all talk and never get in the ring with the people that boxing people know would be their toughest comp. We don't like boxers who have the potential to be great, but don't challenge themselves to be great- yet call themselves great.

In my real life I hate excuses, I hate people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. I hate people that talk a big game but don't prove it. If you back up your talk, I'm all for it. Talk all day.

The majority of floyds fans are the same way, talking about money and how he called out this person or what the purse split should be. They hear talk and think it's real. They post ellerbe quotes like they're facts. They make excuse after excuse and claim Floyd could beat all these people that he will never ever fight.

What happened to floyd's 5 fight plan on his comeback. Floyd faygs were saying he was coming back for 5 fights to fight the best, that was the rationale for the jmm fight (tune up, but they still brag that he beat a pfp fighter). Then he makes demands that have never been made in boxing before to get out of a fight. So much for a 5 fight plan against the best. But you idiots keep sucking his balls even though he treats you like a booty call.
So I don't hear any Floyd fans trying to hold Floyd to the 5 fight plan????? Hmmm

pac's starting to get there too if he goes through with a Shane fight

I have followed Floyd for long enough to be satisfied by his career. It was that way before he got to 147 so everything to that point on was always just icing on the cake. How Floyd treats me as a fans matters little to how I feel about him as a fighter. I would say the way you and other look at it is from a woman's point of view caring about words, feelings and what not, which is why i have little respect for such views unless of course it is a woman who is sharing those views then it is expected but for a man that is shameful.

So to me people making so much about that part of his career is just making a mountain out of a mole hill.

If you hate excuses you should not use them as reasons to dislike guys either, excuses are not just made for things we like but also for things we dislike. Follow your own advice, please.

wrong. I don't care about his words. I care about his fights. And they've been a joke since 135. Period.

At 140 too, which you convienently over looked in your reply.

I despise people who talk it but don't walk it. Floyd is one of those people. And that's not an excuse. What are you talking about? If u hate thieves, and someone is a thief, that's not "using an excuse" to dislike that person. That's how it is. What, do you love everyone in the world? Seriously, that last paragraph was Weak.

All I read were excuses as why what he did wasn't enough for you, no need to respond further.

That is your issue not mine.

I would love that but he wont he is an arrogant prick, honestly boxing fans should shun him and Pacquiao and really demand the fight we want.
