manny's one dimensionality was always overstated anyway.....his camp had been aware of it and had been refining his other tools for years...go back to any HBO fight since the first Marquez fight, they always say he had been working on his skills pre fight....but since it didnt really show against the morales' and marquez', they think he was still the straight left only fighter he used to be.......he wasnt as improved as now, but he wasnt as raw either....people act like manny is a different beast altogether since the diaz fight...as if he hadnt struggled 4 months earlier against a much better fighter.....Comment

He's not as predictable when he makes his move, like he used to be. Opponents used to be able to bank on Manny lunging in with the straight left to kick off any combination, now not so much. He also seems to have a much better understanding of how to counter punch and use the moments his opponents throw to let loose his superior handspeed.
It's not like he doesn't have any flaws, but he is clearly a better and smarter fighter. I thought the Cotto fight displayed that above doubt.Comment

Manny improved by simply using his right hand more. He's still the same fight he always has been. The problem is Arum is giving him gimmie fights so he'll look good.
Pacquiao against a good technical boxer would get his ass smashed. Plain and simple. Hell Marquez at 147 would still give him problems.Comment

This is a horrible thread.
Manny was shut out after rd 2 vs jmm their first fight and boxed him to a standstill in their second and won by a knockdown.
For starters.....Comment

I dont believe that, infact I have seen most of Morales's fights, and part of the reason he got dragged into a war all the time, was a culmination of a few things, his ring generalship and defense were not very good, plus he liked to fight, he would get trapped on the ropes, get hit, then become embroiled in a fight.
