Senator bob palpatine is running boxing into the ground man. He wouldn't entertain a fight with mosley unless he left gbp, he wan't let pacquiao fight marquez because he is working with goldenboy and he just might beat pac again.
He put timetables on the great floyd mayweather, help pac look ****** in the 1st negotiations and the 2nd. It just ridiculous...his shenanigans. When will a writer call him on his crap? When will a writer call pacquiao for what he is...a ****r of history!!!
Ha Ha Ha! That's funny! bob Arum is sort of like that
character. Masquerading as someone that plays for the
team but behind the scenes, he is masterminding the
downfall, for his own personal agenda ($). I made several
posts that exposed Arum and Team Pac and NO ONE has
of yet, addressed me on it. Just look at the Sig and it
should be an end to all debates on who sabortaged
the fights with Mayweather.
1.) Manny Pacquiao is a coward for claiming to be an 8-division champion, and yet being too scared to EVER fight an actual JMW opponent.
2.) Manny Pacquiao is also a coward for ducking Mayweather back in December, either that or he is a steroid cheat. He didn't want none of Mayweather or the tests, thats for sure.
3.) Manny Pacquiao is also a coward for ducking Sergio Martinez. If JMM can go up two divisions to WW, then surely Manny can defend his JMW title at 154. What a b1tch Manny.
4.) Manny Pacquiao is also a coward for demanding a catch-weight for Cotto. There are two reasons to demand a catch-weight, either you are not good enough to compete with that fighter at his natural weight, which is fine..... or you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage, which is cowardly. Team Pacquiao tried to drain Cotto, because Manny had already fought at 147.
5.) Manny Pacquiao is also a coward for ducking Shane Mosley - TWICE !!
6.) And Manny "padded" Pacquiao is also a dirty coward for refusing to fight Marquez unless the fight is held at 147.
Manny "padded" Pacquiao is a joke. Top Rank smoke and mirrors.
Team Pacquiao..... Still piss-scared of Marquez, since 2004
1. everyone knows "8 division champ" is not legit. he has no business being up there. they worked the system to get the trinket.
2. floyds accusation was the REASON fight didnt happen... YES, pac looked suspect refusing, but there is STILL no proof or alibi regarding pac juicing... it came down to BOTH camps' egos. and for people to say floyd agreed to everything, OF COURSE he did!!! pac had the upper hand in negotiations, floyd had to concede to pac's demands... retirement and a tune-up with fat jmm doesnt grant you negotiating power. floyds biggest card was that he pulled bigger numbers...
3. pac "ducking" sergio is about as bad as floyd "ducking" sergio right????
4. catchweight argument??? again, how about you let cotto answer why he even took the fight if he was at such a disadvantage... on record, cotto said he felt great at the weight... weight was NOT an issue. BUT i do think team pac is wrong for not considering a catchweight for marquez. do your research, if catchweights make you a coward, then history would show plenty of all-time greats being cowards. besides, now pac wants to do a full WW fight, but its STILL not acceptable. LOL. so pac is expected to jump up to 154 or drop down to 140 for his next fight??? do we hold these expectations on anyone else??? its understandable if sergio cant "drain" himself to 150... and its fine that he cant move up to 168???? i agree with the catchweight thing is getting old for team pac, but discrediting EVERYTHING the guy did using that as an excuse is lame.
5. you can blame roach and pac for giving shane TOO much credit & respect... if the same shane that showed up for floyd shows up for pac, then we mightve had shane retired PERMANENTLY.
6. bleh, jmm is VERY dangerous still... im not going to argue that. pac is 144 MUSCLE... jmm is 135 MUSCLE... judging fight night weight can be misleading... either pac loses 4lbs of muscle OR jmm gains 5lbs of fat... either way will change the dynamic compared to their previous fights. i think marquez will give him trouble but pac will hurt the guy.
LOL. for being a HUGE floyd fanboy, did you forget what floyd said after the shane fight???? he was ready to PROVE to everyone he was the best. they even asked him about sergio... what happened to that???? your boy went on vacation... forget pacquiao, what happened to proving himself being the best??
a vacation?!?!? really??? the same vacation shane wanted when floyd was "calling him out"??? come on bro. after the shane fight, the doors were wide open... sergio, williams, berto, etc. were ready to get a super fight made... but instead, your boy goes tells a cancer kid "his mind isnt on boxing"... and said he will "take a couple years off".... what happened??? dont bring legal issues because that was a RECENT issue. floyd was on his vacation and didnt like being out of the spotlight, and instead of FIGHTING someone... he goes and makes a racist video in a desperate attempt at attention, THEN gets in trouble.... sounds like an emotional meltdown to me.
you guys are quick to make excuses and justifications regarding pac... but you guys IMMEDIATELY go silent when martinez is mentioned... floyd has PLENTY of options other than pac... he chose "vacation" & court hearings.... at least pac is FIGHTING... and yes, pac deserves ALL criticism for his past 2 opponents (clottey/margs) & his potential (shane) opponent.
floyd is sitting out waiting for the top guys to fight each other until the battleworn winner is left... then he picks up the scraps... EXACTLY what he did when the WW division was HOT... floyd "the boy who cried retirement" fled the scene and dodged PRIME cotto/margs/p-will/shane.... whats floyd waiting for??? is he waiting for sergio & pac to clean out the WW & MW division?i think floyd is the most talented boxer, but damn.... what a waste.
you seem to forget that cotto never asked to fight floyd you can't find an article or anything where arum is talkin about a floyd cotto fight but when this topic is brought up it's always floyds fault why is it not cotto's fault for wantin to fight floyd?who was p-will? what had mrgo done to fight the best at the time? and as you noted earlier shane chosde to go on vacation and see the denist and unlike pacquiao floyd can'tr just fight anybody without havin everyon ***** about it as of right now there are only 2 people floyd can fight without havin to do wit the backlash and thats sergio and manny thats it
The war between promotional rivals Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions is far from over. During a recent report in the Los Angeles Times, Golden Boy's CEO Richard Schaefer, and Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, exchanged unpleasant words over the availability of Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a mega-bout with Manny Pacquiao in 2011.

so public demand didnt matter??? floyd needs a cordial invitation? he needs to be "officially" called out? thats rubbish bro. what about the margs offer? i understand floyd going for the money fight with oscar... without oscar, floyd would still be struggling to make a difference. how many seasons of dancing with the stars & WWE appearances does floyd need to get some attention without oscar??? you ask who was p-will??? at the time p-will was the "most avoided" guy at WW... how about who the hell is berto??? yet people say pac should fight him.... and who the hell is sergio??? no matter how good sergio is, RIGHT NOW, he is STILL unknown outside of fanboys... the problem is, for some reason floyd LOVES playing the victim. everybody is against him... well, according to ellerbe & reports, that was their plan... since "pretty boy" couldnt sell, they had to create the "money" persona... if he wants to play the bad guy to get attention, he needs to suck it up and accept the fact he will be criticized... real boxing fans will admire his talent, but his out-of-the-ring antics are pathetic.

Cotto was never ready for Floyd. Floyd went to
town on Bruseles who sparred with Cotto and had
Miguel's uncle "Evangelista Cotto" trained Henry
Bruseles and was in the corner the night he fought
Mayweather. On top of that! Cotto was there to
see his boy get stopped AND guess what else? Cotto
and Hatton was at the Gatti fight and they were
looking shook. Bob Arum was the one that said
Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd at 140 (Where Cotto
got his real pro start). Floyd came up from 135. I
give Cotto props for fighting but he would have been
another win on Floyd's belt. Mayweather was the
champ of the division and Cotto didn't push for the
spot like he was supposed to. I think everything I
ever said about Cotto's boxing style came to past.
I saw all of his weaknesses from the beginning and
they were eventually exposed.
"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."
Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.
Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."Bob Arum.
Arum saidwhile Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.
"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."
