Cotto is not the same and had to make weight at 145. Cheap. Clottey...well, he's Clottey. margaresto was at 150, not welterweight but LMW/SWW. Remember that Cotto had been beaten down by a cheating margaresto, and margaresto had been schooled and broken by Mosley.

That is a lot of context to consider.

I think they were giving Mosley too much credit. Now they see how good he really is and figure, why not do another big money fight? He's just like Floyd. Floyd didn't fight Magarito or Cotto because they weren't big money fights, so he took the best big money fight available, against Juan Manuel Marquez. This is exactly what Manny and Arum are doing. They don't call him "Money" Pacquiao for nothing.

A Pacquiao vs Mosley fight has little interest from me & makes no sense. Shane's last win was nearly 2 years ago, and in his last two fights, he looked all of his 39 years of age. His speed, reflexes, timing, are all on a rapid decline.

Manny will be far to much for him.

I agree, Cotto being top rank fighter and having beaten Mosley it made more money than Mosley. However, why pick him now? Arum cannot possibly tell us he's the best option. You know this fight should not be happening, Mosley has no merits to deserve a fight against Pacquiao.

Its what he asked. Why didnt they consider Shane then? Because Cotto brought more money and wasnt a lesser opponent than Shane. Why Shane now? Who else is there at WW besides Berto? Im in favor of the Berto fight btw.
