I think they were giving Mosley too much credit. Now they see how good he really is and figure, why not do another big money fight? He's just like Floyd. Floyd didn't fight Magarito or Cotto because they weren't big money fights, so he took the best big money fight available, against Juan Manuel Marquez. This is exactly what Manny and Arum are doing. They don't call him "Money" Pacquiao for nothing.

And, save me the "at least he stays active" mess. He would be better "on vacation" with Floyd (as you guys love to say) than keep fighting these guys he's been fighting lately. Seriously. Heck, he and Floyd need to vacation together as opposed to him fighting Shane Mosley right now.

I've lost count of how many times of I've explained this, to put it as easily as I can...it's a difference of opinion, would you rather have Cotto or Mosley @ a catchweight, them being your first legit welterweights (Oscar doesn't count). Why the catchweight? My Opinion, to test the waters, try to gauge the welterweight division, and see if Manny can handle a legit punch from a welter. It's easy for me to say they made the right decision in hindsight, but I do think they made the right decision. Mosley had already signed a fight with Berto when Pac and Cotto was over with and then the opportunity never came up, until now. Pac signed to fight Clottey, Mosley vs Berto broke up shortly after, Mayweather got Mosley, Mosley lost, tried to recover with Mora (I dunno why he chose Mora, but whatever....)

It didn't get made last year because he was fighting Miguel Cotto, a Top Rank fighter, which was every bit as legit an option as Mosley and a much easier fight to make. It didn't happen earlier this year because Mosley already had a fight. It didn't happen for November this year because Mosley had just gotten dominated by Floyd.

It MIGHT happen now because the circumstances are right. It shouldn't happen, but it might.
