Is it beyond the possibility, that Shane's ranking on the p4p list was a bit inflated compared to his in-ring ability at the time?

15 months off for a 38 year old fighter... is kind of a big deal.

And, though he may of been ranked high on the p4p list, we have to look at why.

Because of a fight he had 15 months ago.
Who knows?? Probably due to his competition over the last 6-7 years, Probably due to the way he destory Margarito?? Maybe maybe not but the Mosley that fought Mayweather isnt any better than the version that we might see against Pacquiao, For once i want to see Pac take on a fighter who was coming off a devastating win.

I dont like the way they seem to be selecting opponents for Pac, And i dont think now is the "Time" for Pac to fight Mosley, Not after looking terrible in his last 2 fights.

If it was great for Mayweather it would be decent for Pac now, as I had it decent for Mayweather it is now garbage. Mosleys slippage started well before he had his ass handed to him by Floyd he wasnt great when Floyd beat him and suddenly deteriorated.
Mosley was old when he fought Mayweather and ranked higher than Mayweather at 147, But he's even older and ranked lower now so i guess he gets a fight with Pac now.

Also Mosley looked like ass for years after his earlier bad defeats why would he shake off the Mayweather one in four months.
He got outboxed by Miguel Cotto for God sake.. then came back to knock Margarito out.

I am pretty sold on Mosleys mental stability as a fighter.

Anyways.. how many times have I ever disagreed with you?

You could probably count them on one finger.
Very good or great...I'll take either. But l'ma just pretend we disagree just to switch **** up.

Bradley, Berto, Mayweather or retire IMO

There is no need to fight mosley or marquez nor would it prove or accomplish anything for pac.

That Cotto was pretty effin excellent. And it was a pretty damn close fight that could've gone either way.

Nah, he was back at the top of WW division, and slid up the p4p rankings.. because he knocked out Margarito... My point was, it was all based off a fight that happened 15 months prior to fighting Floyd.

My point being that his WW, and p4p ranking, were inflated compared to his realistic in-ring ability a year and a half later.

I was at that fight, and Cotto was a good fighter... I am just saying... Cotto outboxed Mosley... Cotto isnt the greatest boxer Ive ever seen, and hes 10% of the boxer that Floyd is.

My other point is, he suffered that defeat, and came back strong as ever.

That loss should never be compared to the rest of Shane's loses as it looked nothing like them. In fact I would say that close loss actually helped his confidence because he could have thought he won.

Cotto never broke his will, Forrest, Winky and Floyd all did. Just look at Mosley's face in all those fights, his expressions.

Mosley is soft mentally and that is the best way to beat him, that is why I thought he could never fuck with Floyd.

Mosley had looked far from impressive in several fights 7 years prior to the Mayweather fight. I agree Mosley is going to get murdered against Pac just as I called for him to be dismantled by Floyd. My point is Mosley hasnt been a great win for anyone since Forrest and people disagreed that he was a great win for Floyd. I wont even watch Pac Mosley if it comes off because I like Shane as a person and dont want to see him get hurt. By discrediting Floyds win its even more of a discredit to Pacs win and I understand that, but I believe saying Mosley was a great win 2 fights ago and is now a bum is hypocritical.

Exactly, look at all those losses that Mosley had endured prior to Floyd, just as bad and even worse than Floyd.

Yet Mosley came back strong as ever.

It is evidence that Shane can come back from defeat.

Floyd did not mentally ruin Shane...
