Sanchez died before giving Juan La porte a rematch, haven't seen the fight before, did you? Only parts of it, thats how good La Porte was, but no talk of a Gomez fight....back in the old days they'd rematch real quick tho....Comment

I saw Sanchez and Cavez beat La Porte and can tell you Chavez had one hell of a fight he won but barely Sanchez had it a little easier but La Porte fought till the end I think Sanchez after the fight talked to la porte and told him he will become a great champLast edited by Chaconlittlered; 11-29-2010, 08:46 PM.Comment

JCC is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time. He has a really good resume and more importantly his longevity pretty gives him the #1 spot.
Salvador Sanchez has the #2 spot. If he would of had the longevity of a Chavez than without a doubt he would of been the GOAT from Mexico. But, unfortunately he died at the age of 23. However, still build a great resume. Wins over Wilfredo Gomez, Azumah Nelson, Danny Lopez(2x), Juan La Porte, and Ruben Castillo. Pretty impressive at just the age of 23.
At #3 I personally have Kid Azteca with wins over Cerefino Garcia, Cocoa Kid, and Fritzie Zivic.
At #4, I put Ruben Olivares in that spot. IMHO the #3 greatest bantamweight. Right behind Jofre and Panama Al Brown.
At #5, I like Saldivar in this spot. Very good fighter.
And, at #6, I have the very underrated technician and ATG Flyweight in Miguel Canto. Had 15 titles defenses. Very good fighter.
And, I think 7, 8, and 9 could be all in between Barrera, Morales, and Zarate. In any order really.
And, #10 is between JMM and Finito. Ricardo is easy IMO the most skilled fighter and the most skilled out of all the Mexicans ever. However, his resume doesn't really compare to the others.
And, then after that you have Macias, Pintor, Herrera, Cuevas, Castillo.Comment

How far up your list does a win over Pacquiao -- at this stage of their respective careers -- push JMM?JCC is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time. He has a really good resume and more importantly his longevity pretty gives him the #1 spot.
