Arum is just talking BS and setting the terms because he can, but in reality it makes no difference.

If the weight limit is 140(Hatton), Pac will weigh 148 the night of the fight. If it's 147(DLH) he will weigh 148. If it's 150(Margo) he will weigh 148. If it's at 168, he will 148.

Meanwhile JMM weighed 145 Saturday Night at a 135 limit. If the limit is moved to 147 he comes in a couple more pounds more. In other words, right around 148. JMM can pick whatever his ideal fighting weight and come in at that weight.

To compare Pac and JMM who had a three pound difference (148-145) at their last fight, with Pac and Sergio where there was a twenty pound difference (148-168) is ludicrous. You guys are getting too hung up on the weigh in limits and not the actual fighting weights.

Pac will not have a significant size difference with JMM regardless of what weight class they are fighting in.

I agree with your post, but I believe the haters are implying that Manny should get a dose of his own medicine, weight draining.
It's common knowledge that Manny has a lot of pop at 147, if he has to drain himself, his power will be at 80%, just enough for JMM's 100%...

Just as a little sidenote, Mayweather is criticized for fighting JMM. The catchweight was 144, which Mayweather didn't make. JMM weighed in at 142and I think weighed about the same as he weighed the other night against Katsidis. Why is it OK for Pac and not OK for Money?
