  • I'm a huge Marquez fan but honestly, he's out of character. If they do face each other, I hope he wins because he will look like a fool for taunting him. He knows that the only way Pacquiao will fight him is if he triggers Roach's head and counsels Pacquiao to fight him because other than that, it's not financially attractive. JMM knows Pacquiao inside the ring, even as an improved 3 dimensional fighter, but JMM is fading physically.

You can't really blame him, since he almost has the lightweight division cleans out. He has to choose between 2 Top Rank fighters -- Soto and Pac. That, or he needs to jump into the 140 lb division for new blood, unless Morales can demummify himself to 135 lbs.

Manny IS THE MAN! Marquez is the b1tch who keeps on crying and begging for a retirement fight with Pacquiao. Pacman is slated to fight only at 147, neither of these guys suggestions nor yours would matter.

And you know why he will fight at 147???

Because Manny is the MAN, he will call the shots...NOT MARQUEZ.

        • The reality is, the scoring system deceives many...

It is incredible that Pac fans still deny all these facts when they have seen the fight and the tape. Go back and review the tape & team Pac (and Pac's swelled up face as well) and wake up. You need to snap out of the denial because it keeps you coming back to these JMM threads hoping for him to get KO'd. The fact is Pac & Team Pac know they lost.
You know Mr. Reality, the reality is scoring every round isn't about how many punches thrown & landed but simply by 10 & 9 without any knockdowns...If you won the round w/ 1 knockdown it scores 10-8, 2 knockdowns 10-7 & 3 knockdowns 10-6...It always seems the system of scoring deceives many, as what transpired in this fight...If we consider the overall impact of the fight in a case to case basis maybe Marquez won, like in the amateurs every punch you land scores but in the professional boxing scoring system doesn't goes that way... It's still a 10-9, even you out landed your opponent many times in the round you won more than he out landed you in the round he won...

If you observe carefully in the Pacquiao vs Marquez I & II fights; in Part I it's somewhat 5 rounds goes to Pacquiao & 7 rounds to Marquez, but if you really total the scores it goes like this...

          Pacquiao (5 rds) = (5rds x 10) + (7rds x 9) = 50 + 63 = 113
          Marquez (7 rds) = (7rds x 10) + (4rds x 9) + (1rd x 6) = 70 + 36 + 6 = 112

Marquez score was supposed to be only 112 as what Burt A. Clemens realized after he made a scoring mistake because he scored the 3 knockdowns in the 1st rd as 7 w/c is suppose to be only 6...Actually Pacquiao won the first fight w/out the scoring error...

In the 2nd fight, it's even in a battle of rounds Pacquiao has 6 & Marquez also has 6, but the deciding factor is the knock down suffered by Marquez...

          Pacquiao (6rds) = (6rds x 10) + (6rds x 9) = 60 + 54 = 114
          Marquez (6rds) = (6rds x 10) + (5rds x 9) + (1rd x 8) = 60 + 45 + 8 = 113

Pacquiao actually won both fights in a professional boxing scoring system, but if you use the amateur scoring maybe Marquez won in both fights as I think he out landed Pacquiao in the full fight...Remember this is professional boxing, rules applied are different...

          • why is he crying like a baby just to have a fight with pac?

i know he is one of the best out there... but fight with pac at WW right ahead? why can't he have a match first with someone at 140 then 147... then they meet at the middle.

i think he's jealous of margarito... a slow flat footed guy who had a fight with pac got millions of dollars and a broken eye socket...

then he'll ask for drug testing or piss testing "peeleft:

              • Marquez's shirt should've said, "I would've won twice against Pacquiao if I hadn't kissed the canvas 4 times"

                • jealousy makes marquez out of reality…and jealousy has inflicted in marquez a suicidal mentality…it would be a suicide for him to fight pacquiao this time…
