Berto did what you're supposed to do when you fight a tomato can: blow him the hell out.

At least he didn't carry him for 12 rounds like certain heavyweights would have.

I think it would be our civic duty to write HBO a letter to show our discontent with their boxing program.

They do great tv shows, but they need to start putting competitive fights.

I always believed Berto was shoved down our throats, and the only reason i can think of why is Al Haymon.

Maybe with enough complaints they'll get rid of Al Haymon and bring someone like Dibella back.

You can say what you want Dibella as a promoter, but when he was one of the executives at HBO we saw some of the best fights of the decade.

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Andre Berto (27-0, 21KOs) destroyed Freddy Hernandez (29-2, 20KOs) in the first round after landing a crushing rightcross. Hernandez had his gaurd and hands up but he was caught right on the button and went down hard. He made it up but was barely able to get his senses together and the referee stopped the fight. Berto retains his WBC welterweight title. If there was ever a statement to make for a fight with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, Berto may have made it. Berto is on the short-list of challengers being considered for Pacquiao's next fight.

Berto still would get Beat badly By Cotto Margarito Clottey and Pacquiao

Margarito ain't **** without his plaster. Clottey will never fight again after his performance against Pacquiao. Cotto hasn't been the same since his plaster beating. And Pacquiao wont agree to random blood testing so we don't know where his power comes from. Berto gives Pac a better fight than any of his recent opponents.

just watching the first few seconds of the fight, i could tell that hernendez was a nobody...when do we get to see berto against a top welterweight...not a journey welterweight that was once good.

Some of you guys who love to post comments don't seem to really understand boxing at all or do you not realize that he had to fight the guy or be stripped of his title? I have been a student of boxing for more than 30 years I follow many websites but have only posted a reply twice, would you let them strip you if you had the title? Oh by the way who do you want him to fight?

mosley/berto couldve been rescheduled, instead of mosley/mora and berto/hernendez...we couldve gotten mosley/berto tonite...berto fightin mosley would be a good gauge as to where berto rates...if mosley beats berto, then berto is over rated...if berto beats mosley by a wide margin or by KO, then berto is legit...if its a close fight, like the mosley/mora, then it didnt say anything about berto
