Roach only uses catchweight to drain opponents. People bash floyd for his **** bbut what team pac is doing is worse.

Having bigger fighters come down in weight and smaller fighter move up in weight makes pacquiao look great. im not going to say pacquiao is a ***** because i dont know what decisions hes making on his own. but the people around him mostly roach and arum are big gaping twats. pacquaio is allowed to fight at a weight that he is comfortable but all his oppenents have been weight drained lately and now in the case of marquez he must move up to a weight that he will not likely be effective at. either way he only been fighting people ineffective at the negoitiated weights. it really hard for me to respect pacquiao and roach who are supposed to be the the best fight/trainer. at least arum has an excuse he a greedy business man trying to milk his cash cow for everything he can get. if pacquiao milk the most out of the rest of his career thats cool i cant knock him for that but he shouldnt get the credit for being the best fighter out there or the greatest ever. he is a great fighter but great fighters fight the best opposition out there and dont create unfair playing fields so that they look good for a bunch of idiots that dont know **** about boxing

According to trainer Freddie Roach, any fighter who wants to face Manny Pacquiao from the junior welterweight division, or below, will have to move up the full welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Roach will not agree to any catch-weight between 140 and 147. If Juan Manuel Marquez, Devon Alexander or Timothy Bradley want Pacquiao, they must agree to 147 or the fight won't happen.

Its just you made Cotto come in at 145 and Margarito at 150 now when your somewhat the bigger guy of 2, you don't wanna have 2 to be the 1 to lose any weight. Why??? I saw this coming after JMM struggled at 147lbs. It's ridiculous and yet genious at the same time, because this is how Roach is protecting his fighter. He makes others drain themselves for catchweights yet he wants no part of his own medicine.

Pacquiao is over rated.

Pac is a natural 140 pounder. If Pac has to overeat just to make 144.6 then let him just eat normally and go 140. You boy Pac already said that he does get tired even eating too much but yes Freddie, either fatten them up to slow them down or drain 'em to slow em down. Classy.

Damn. Pac bashers will say just about anything in an effort to discredit him. If Roach is a joke then he is the smartest jester boxing has ever seen with the exceptions of Angie Dundee and Eddie Futch.
You know damn well that Manny started at a much lower weight then any of the currently mentioned competition with the exclusion of Juan Manuel. If these new kids are so good they should have no trouble coming up a few pounds. If welter drains them, then they should stay out of the water or drown. Floyd did not even bother to make weight for Marquez.
I know that boxing is a sick sport. For those who cannot afford PPV it is on life support.
Pacquiao is carrying boxing on his back right now. If 5 pounds is the measure of an athlete, Marquez is the only competetive man who will not complain. But that's because he has a sealed Hall Of Fame date as does Manny. It's called legend and he is the last man standing next to Pacquiao. If he wins tomorrow, this is the fight, period. Mayweather is a dead man walking, Shane was a great contender but shot and the others have no business in there with him. He could fight Martinez but why waste his final years on a weight struggle he's already proved himself daring enough to play with. No way his efforts can be demeaned regardless of the attempts so many make to stain his accomplishments. Mayweather fled the scene of a slanderous assault against this great champion. We now know the even darker extent of his cowardice. That damage is the only glove that Floyd will ever lay on him and it was a truly phantom punch.
Some of you gentleman refuse to reward greatness and I must ask myself why.The answers I get back are hardly those of sportsmen.
