Ideally this should be at 135 -140 for Manny to get full credit, however even at 147 it is not too bad, simply for the fact that Manny does not even fully utilised the 147 limit. They both could come in at 144 or possibly lower.

I saw this coming after JMM struggled at 147lbs. It's ridiculous and yet genious at the same time, because this is how Roach is protecting his fighter. He makes others drain themselves for catchweights yet he wants no part of his own medicine.

So, unless Pac has bigger guys sweat down to weight that is uncomfortable or a smaller guy balloon up to a weight where he is uncomfortable he won't fight. If any other fighter acted like this he would be called a "b*tch" or a "p*ssy". Pac does it and it's okay.

Cotto has to come down to 145lbs.

Marquez was, according to Pac fans, "slow and fat" at welterweight, so of course that fight is at 147lbs.

This is why there is frustration with Team Pac. They must not really believe in him because unless he has every advantage negotiated in his favour, then he won't fight. In the initial negotations for the failed March fight, Mayweather agreed to ring size, glove size and weight penalties (all outside commission standards). Pac was asked to test for 'roids and walked away.
