Pac's not being criticized for not fighting a middleweight either. Its Pac and his team that have risen to super stardom by fighting all of these catchweight fights. Martinez is willing to fight Pac at a catchweight. Not only is he willing to fight him at a catchweigth, he's willing to come down to a weight where Pac is reigning champ, according to his legions of fans. Mayweather fought de la Hoya (who was arguably the best at 154.) What's the problem with Pac fighting Martinez, who claims he can fight at 154 and aside from Pac, is arguably the best in that division?

naturally i think they are...margo would'nt be too small at 160 ....and sergio knows pac aint 100% percent at 150, how much more above that?......it s really hard to make this fight happen to where the weightclass is fair to both, but if it happens anyways, id love to see it !

It isn't a situation of Martinez being too big, its a situation of him being too good (in the mind of the Pacwh*res.) Pac is the WBC 154 champ. Martinez said he's willing to come down to 154 to challenge Pac for his belt. I don't see the problem.
WTF? what make you think margarito is stronger than martinez, you idiot. the fact that martinez weighed over 170, closer to 180 on fight nite against williiams is much more than the 165 that margarito came in on fight nite. thats close to 30 lbs heavier than pac on fight nite for martinez...its like pac wanting to fight the super bantamweight top fighter. insstead of fighting someone you'll be 30 lbs heavier, why not figth someone that is his weight during fight nite, or maybe he wants to challenge a top boxer that will be 30 lbs heavier than him on fight nite...make that happen martinez, fight a top fighter that will be 200+ lbs on fight nite...see how you like that

And now, he's opened himself up to the wolves so to speak. At this point, Pac's a 154 titlist. And IMO, its kinda hypocritical for them to have proted that Margarito event as a 154 title fight and sell it as Pac going for his 8th title. And now, someone is wanting to challenge him for that title in a fight that the entire world wants to see, and they hide behind the, "he's too big" card. Its very similar to what Top Rank did with Cotto in his 140 days. He went out and won the vacant WBO trinket in afight with Kelson Pinto. Then, when Floyd Mayweather wanted to fight him, Arum said Cotto was "too green." If you're gonna promote someone as a world champion, you can't use the excuse that they're too green for anyone. Just like they're promoting Pac as an 8 division champion. So now, you can't say Pac is too small when he's already so-called concurred the division.
Yeah i agree that Pac although technically is a jrmw champ is not the true champ at that weight and everyone knows that for the most part.imo the idea of having alphabet titles is not really important when evaluating a fighters greatness. As far as Cotto Mayweather goes we all know that when the fight was at its highest earning potential and when it was demanded by the fans the most who ducked who.

pac/martinez @ 152 catchweight would be good (but there will be PLENTY of cry-babies due to the catchweight). people can cry about catchweights, but look at the history. if it wasnt for catchweights, many great fights wouldnt have happened... i dont think anyone would criticize if floyd fought martinez at a catchweight. so i dont see a problem if pac does.... i dont see a problem with sergio vs bute @ a catchweight either.

i think it would be a great fight, i see pac losing... but sergio is very hittable, and dont be fooled, sergio isnt a knockout artist... he caught p-will perfect, even donaire couldve dropped paul with a perfect shot like that.

as for people on serg's nuts, he hasnt accomplished anything CLOSE to either floyd or pac... a victory over pavlik & pwill is solid, but not legendary... i do think sergio is THE top guy right now. definitely earned fighter of the year.

back to pac, this dude needs something credible or he might as well retire...
he should grant jmm the rubber match so the old man can finally get some closure... then pac should clean out the jr WW division, then call it quits...
scalping a few undefeated records off of some prospects would be a nice change.

floyd will be caught up in legal crap for sure, so i doubt he will even fight...
if floyd told a cancer kid he was going to take a "couple" years off, then we ALL KNOW floyd wants no part of ANYONE... pac, & especially no part of sergio NOW. floyd "the boy who cried wolf" should stay on vacation... because if he decides to come back, his plate would be FULL. even crying on ellerbe's shoulder wont console him.... mora cheapened floyds shane victory.

                Well damn.

If the neurological issues are that bad, then he doesn't need to be fighting anymore. From here on out, most of his opponents will have a sizable weight advantage.

To the people claiming that Sergio is so MUCH bigger than Pac, tell me this, you guys do know if Sergio comes down to 154, he'll most likely rehydrate to 165-168 max (he weighed in at 168 on Fight Night against Williams, ONE pound heavier than Tony did against Pac) now, like ******* have said before, 1 pound isn't that big of a deal right? How is it ok for Pac to fight Tony whom weight in at 167, but not ok to fight Martinez whom most likely weigh in at 166-168? Is it because unlike Tony he will be fast and not block punches with his face?
