at welterweight, he had beaten cotto for cottos belt and defended it against clottey...why should pac defend against mosley when cotto already had beaten mosley...pac has been trying to fight floydie, but we know whats happening to floydie, he's losing his mind from the fact that pac has voiced his wanting to fight him for a year now.

the only title i see that i have a problem with pac not defending is his title is the one that he just one at jr middleweight...i would love to see him fight one of the other belt holders (minus cotto)...that would make his jr middleweight title more legit.
I am not a math whiz and the titles these days are more confusing to me than my ex-wife. And with that said as best as I can tell the Pacman has held six different title belts and he is 10-1-2 in title fights. And anyway you want to do the math it does not look like he was big on defending titles.

Legacy-wise, Pac's future fights, against whomever they may be, are merely the icing on top of a glorious career. Only *****s and haters are still clamoring for him to 'prove himself' against ever-bigger opponents such as Martinez. You can **** on his eight weight division title all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that he has already accomplished all that a modern fighter can dare dream of. No one can ever **** on his 4 lineal titles.

So, be grateful that Pac is still good for at least 3 more fights, even though they may be 'mismatches' against Berto, Bradley, Mosley or JMM at 147 lbs or below. It still beats taking a vacation.

If Martinez really wants to be P4P king he should just move up and fight Bute there is no other fights for him Gayweather and Pacroid will not fight him should he beat Bute he would be the new number #1 P4P king!!

While I understand the $$$ argument, Pirog does make sense to a boxing fan.

If he can't get the money fights, he should get a fight with Pirog.

But that is the idea. He has a chance to defend his title. He is not going to get Floyd or Manny so he has to get used to defending his title against some non big names. Unless of course he wants to move up to 168.

He simply is not in the position to call the shots and should at least stay active, continue to build a fan base and just maybe a big money fight will come.

martinez is too big,too strong for manny. mayweather makes alot of sense for the money,,but at what weight.. pirog is a step down as far as profit, but he would be clearing out the division and unifying the belts.. he could also face sturm,, i think he has a belt too.. all the good comp and bigger names are at 154..

im pretty sure a MW Unification fight with pirog would be great...maybe after another fight or two but sergio should not overlook it since pirog is no pushover and can put up a good exciting fight like when he beat jacobs...
