Yes, well said...If we consider top African-American fighter, then only Floyd at this point of time...Bradley & Alexander could be potential good fighters, needs to clean their division first before they could earn a shot w/ Pac, Khan & Maidana are still racing w/ them...

For Hopkins, if you consider Floyd as the top African-American fighter then be the first to offer & encourage Floyd to fight Pac...Directly ask Floyd to stop running & accept the fight, plain & simple...

As far as Roach's comments - that he waited this long to say something makes them a little more ignorant considering he had to time to research his response.

I know he was speaking tongue-in-cheek, but Freddie's missing the point - there aren't an overabundance of Canadians for Hopkins to fight, even though he has beaten one (Vanderpool), and was calling out Bute before landing the Pascal fight. So that comment falls a bit flat.

As far the slap in the face over the Calzaghe fight - last I checked, wasn't Freddie in his corner thant night?

Kind of like Arum talking **** about the stuff Floyd and Oscar did back in the day, glossing over the fact that it happened on his watch while they were Top Rank fighters.
But, who was the one who couldn't pull the trigger. Roach did everything a corner is suppose to do. The Executioner couldn't execute.

both peterson bothers and kendall holt were killing pac in sparring leading up to the david diaz fight.there's no way pac gets in the ring with bradley, judah, corley, alexander, and especially mayweather. but arum will let him fight the old mosley and no defense berto.

this is how you spot a ****** who gets his knowledge once in a while from boxrec just to post some ****** ****. how the hell can pac cherrypicked ledwaba when pac took the fight on 2 weeks notice only.

Honestly if you consider Ledwaba in 2001 Pacquiao's coming out (onto the world stage) what African American fighters has he reall had a chance to cross when the fight would have made sense?

Johnson, McKinney, Jones, Harris Patterson were all already past it.

Maybe Kelley, but he was already on his way down

Johnston was on his way down when Pacquiao reach 135

Campbell was too inconsistent when Pacquiao was at 135 (but a cast could be made)

              Same with Holt at 140

Raheem could have been a possibility when he upset Morales.

Mayweather of course, but Pacquiao has been trying to make that fight.

Mosley could have happened a little earlier than now, but not much.

Alexander and Bradley weren't really ready until recently.

              Same with Berto

Casamayor though not African American fits the bill as a slick boxer that Manny had a chance to face, but didn't.

Hopkins acts like there is a slew of black fighters that Pac had a chance to fight, but denied the opportunity

Pac definitely ducked Zahir Raheem. Look at his face at 9:20 and 9:01 after finding out Morales lost to Zahir.
