Martinez isn't more skilled than Manny either, and while Floyd has the most skill of the bunch....the gap isn't as wide as your Floyd fans are trying to make it.

    scale of 1-10

    Floyd 10
    Pacquiao 9
    Martinez 8.5

I was joking earlier when I said he couldn't KO soft @ss Cintron, but the truth is this; If you have payed attention to the Pavlik and especially Williams II, Sergio has greatly improved his punching technique.

Dude wasn't a KO puncher prior...but he is know. I mean please watch the fight and look at how he has improve his leverage, footplacement and punching technique. People say lucky punch but if you really watched ....that **** was gonna happen regardless because Sergio was starting to time him and was rocking Williams with shots earlier in the fight.

The key is this...the heavier Manny + Floyd come in the less speed they retain....the heavier SM comes in above 54 the more speed he retains as he doesn't have to dehydrate. Manny can't come in at 145 fighting Martinez at 154.....the size advantage then comes into play much more than the Margo fight because MArtinez is fast......and the real kicker.....he can get inside and knows how to fight there.

Yeah I see what you saying and I'm loving it. What would you say if Manny beats this dude? What about if he does so decisively? Just outta curiosity.

Pac's skill level is underrated...i'll give you that. We like to talk about Floyd's accuracy, but Manny was slicing Margo accurately with 4 shots at once and all were hitting the mark despite Tony moving his head around a bit.

The only concern is Manny still get's hit too much for a guy with that knid of footspeed.

jeff is on point. williams was getting caught in the first martinez fight, the cintron fight too. pacquiao will not be able to do to martinez like he did to cheato but martinez will look like a ameteur to the superior skilled mayweather jr. wether you like floyd or not he is by far the most skilled in this era.

It would really depend on how MArtinez looked physically coming to 54. If he looked ok i would have to give Manny his props.....no doubt.

I was thinking about that but if you notice there not power punches, minus him letting Clottey land uppercuts so he would open up. I notice when he want's to avoid punches he can, although he is no sweat pea or Floyd when it comes to that.

I know he got caught by some nasty punches from Marquez, but other than 2-3 moments here and there, his defense was pretty damn good against him. Also in the DLH fight, Manny was actually moving his head like a smaller guy is suppose to and actually using his footwork to keep him from getting caught. I think with guys like Cotto and Marqarito....he just didn't respect there power and ate **** to make it a fight for his fans. Maybe you disagree, which is cool and understandable.....but that's how I saw it.
