Klitschkos are hated in the U.S.? Really. Funny, I live in the U.S. and have very high regard for them. Generalizations are almost never true.

I am sure there are some boxing fans in the U.S. who don't like the Klitschkos style. I am sure there are some in the U.K., Germany, France, etc. who don't like the Klitschkos. Nobody is universally loved.

The truth is most of the 300 million people in the U.S. have absolutely no idea who the Klitschkos are. 98 percent probably have no idea who Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao are, and they've received much more publicity

I live in the US and I like the Klitschkos too. They are hated by a large number of boxing fans here though... for reasons that will totally sidetrack the thread. Of course I didn't mean everyone in America. But far less dominant come-and-go champions have gotten more attention than they have dominating for years, even fighting perfect (winning every round with a late highlight reel KO) fights against prime opponents is never enough.

I see the "glass half full" with Povetkin and I'm still optimistic that he can make some 'noise' (again) in the hw division. Contrary to many posters here, his last opponent wasn't a bum. Tekke Oruh was in good shape and was in there to win and he gave Povetkin some much needed rounds.

If you are still optimistic about Povetkin then you truly are an eternal optimist.
