I almost agree with you until you started to justify why Manny needs to give up a little more. It is like saying, hey, Martinez is bigger therefore you need to give in to his demand. And you consider that to be a fair fight? Well, I totally disagree with you. In my view, it is the bigger guy that needs to give up a little more for a fight to be fair regardless of individual's history. After all, Martinez is one exceptional fighter.

I am fan of both of them by the way. I just love to see them fight. Martinez just has so much advantage over Pacquiao. We should try to level those advantages, not tilt it even more.

cool, but i wasn't saying that martinez have all the advantages, i was saying they need to find a middle ground to be fair, and as of to date, manny has had it all his way, which is fine if his opponents are signing the contract, i can't argue that if they sign, no one can.

but this is a test for manny and a fight for martinez, manny is going up to try and test his mettle against a bigger man, but if he has that bigger man ****** up dry and down to where he isnt at his full capabilities then it's really not the fight we wish and or want to see. yeah the names will be inside but not the true abilities that a healthy or closer to being healthy fighter would be at.

remember martinez has dismissed the fight due to size, because he knows that he can't drop down that far to meet pacquiaos demands, so why bother, but he said that if the fight took place at 156 he might consider because he can make that weight.

pacquiao is the one trying to move up and fight bigger guy, so pacquiao is the one that needs to give up some of his advantages if he wants that kind of fight, fighting in higher weight classes fighting bigger guys.

like i said, you don't say you're going to fight a middleweight and make him drop down to jr middleweight and call it a legitimate middleweight fight.

this fight is worthy of a catchweight but it has to be fair on both sides, there is only so far martinez can drop and manny can gain, so there has to be a middle. thats all i'm saying, and i no way was i saying things need to be one way or another.

if mannys moving up for this challenge then move up and stop making guys come down where the weight drain effects their performance.......... as mentioned before, if manny wants to weigh 147 and fight a middleweight fine, he can do that, successfully too, but if making that attempt then make it an even one or better yet, make it a real challenge and fight a middleweight at their true weight. that would be the ultimate test of pacquiaos skill.......... and cement his legacy without a shadow of a doubt.

Pacquiao will not fight more than his natural weight now of 145 lbs. He has nothing to prove anymore. Martinez should fight Lucien Bute if he wants to prove that he's #2 P4P.

Martinez is a difficult match up for anybody from 147 up to 160, I think 155 is more the fair but I don't see it happening either way, if Martinez was Flat Footed and Slower then yeah MAYBE

lol! did Pac fought Hatton who came from a win and a lineal Jr. WW champ? did Pac fought Cotto who is a WW champ? I just wish boxing is like 50 years ago were boxers fight 1-2 fights a month so Pac can fight all of those champ even on heavyweight division! lol
