As I stated yesterday, beating Sergio at 154lbs would be fair and reasonable for both parties and, most importantly, it would serve to LEGITMIZE Team Pacquaio's claim to history by defending the Junior Middleweight world title. Margarito was washed up before that ink was dry on that fight K (don't think for a second that Team Pacquiao and the Top Rank executives felt otherwise when they agreed to the deal). Bringing Margarito down to 150 just served to seal the deal for security purposes; give him ten pounds and he would still be to faded to win IMHO because one can only take so many physical beatings before you decline.

HBO and Ross Greenberg can put some muscle on this proposal and use it as an alternative to Floyd vs. Manny for 2011. They have a loyal fanbase of boxing afficiandos who want something to get excited about. This could be just the thing. I just don't see any other financial options for Sergio to go PPV; he is in his mid-30's and I'm sure he would like to make some retirement
money while he can. Only Pac-man can get him where all boxers would like to be (I want tyson). Bute, Ward, Pirog WTF!!

Sergio has paid his dues and he is ready to go PPV; hopefully Ross Greenberg and HBO can get him this deal with Top Rank and Team Pacquiao ~ Pac-man's first WBC superwelterweight title defense at 154lbs. The Margarito fight sets a precedent of sorts since he and Martinez are about the same size but one of them is shot. I believe that HBO will capitalize on that distinction and find a way/make a way to get this done next year at 154lbs ~ four pounds for each side
